Having an indoor pool that was open late and helped accommodate for tropical weather patterns that can interrupt outdoor swimming was the entire reason I joined LA Fitness in early 2024. It is understandable that the pool needs to be closed for occasional repairs and upgrades, but to keep it closed for a year with no information on if and when it will ever be open again is sloppy and unprofessional. It is also disrespectful to dismissively and without apology tell customers that there's no problem here since LA Fitness has other pools - located at polar opposite ends of the county. I think weekly about cancelling my membership but I heard it is challenging to get that accomplished.

Jeff at front desk is incredibly rude. I came in this morning to do the 8:30 AM class on a guest pass and I insured with two people yesterday over the phone (one was Jeffrey) that I would be able to just walk in as I wasn’t going to have time to do a tour or anything like that and if I like the class, I was just going to sign up for the membership.
I was previously in LA Fitness member for over 10 years. I came in this morning and Jeff told me that I need to connect with the manager before I can activate my trial pass, which I signed up for yesterday. I let him know that I already spoke to two people yesterday about this, and that they all said that it was OK for me to just go into the class because they would not be there to do whatever needed to be done on the backend to activate my pass. The person I spoke to yesterday who works the front desk, said that he was going to leave a note at the front so I didn’t get hassle this morning.
The manager doesn’t get in until 9 AM and I told them that I’ve already coordinated all of this with somebody previously to ensure I can go into the 8:30 AM class which I am now missing. The girl at the front desk was actually really nice and helpful, however, Jeff was incredibly rude and is the reason I will not be signing up for LA Fitness.
We really need to work on how we treat people. As a business owner myself, I would be mortified if somebody on my team spoke to a potential customer how Jeff spoke to me today. When I asked him what his name was, he proceeded to tell me “none of yo business”. It wasn’t until the really sweet girl at the front told me what his name was.
Overall, the complete disregard for customer experience and guest pass process is a deterrent to join. I’m noticing half the reviews here describe similar experience. I’m surprised they haven’t corrected it yet.

Gym needs to implement a no filming policy. Too many tripods set up for people to record their workouts for their two followers.

They scam people to ge the “monthly” memebersjip but they actually charge you every 15 days. Please be careful, there are many lawsuits about this and I unfortunately knew after I sign up.

Might as well go to planet fitness. Most of the amenities that distinguish this gym from lower costing gyms are inoperable and have been so for months. The pool has been inoperable for months, the Jacuzzi has been inoperable for months, several machines are inoperable or just plain raggedy and should be inoperable. Heart rate sensors don't work, cant pause your workout because buttons don't work and some have been this way for years. Alot of the machines are antiquated, even compared to other La Fitness gyms. Showers are inoperable and filthy causing you to have to bring your own cleaning supplies and have to wait for people to come out of the shower because there aren't any available and the shower curtains have several different unknown substances on them and are torn in most cases. The sauna does work, however that is often filthy as is the restroom area of the locker rooms. I have to sanitize my shoes after leaving the area because Lord knows when the last time bleach touched the floors. This gym used to be one of the better La fitness gyms now it's Straight 🗑️ at this point.

I paid $85 for a 7-day guest pass at this LA Fitness. A few days later, I was fraudulently charged an additional $63 for an annual membership I never authorized, never signed up for, and never received notice of. There was no receipt, no email, no agreement, just a random theft from my account.
I phoned the corporate LA Fitness office directly. After reviewing the transaction, they confirmed it was completely unauthorized and have escalated the matter as fraud. An investigation is currently underway.
Inside the gym, the experience was just as unacceptable. The sales staff was hostile, dismissive, and combative in person. Zero professionalism. Zero help.
The facility itself is in terrible condition. Multiple machines were broken. Many are missing cables or attachments entirely. Weights are scattered everywhere with no order.
The locker room reeks. Showers are unsanitary and neglected. This place is unsupervised, unclean, and unfit to operate.
This is not just an overpriced, poorly run gym. It’s a bait-and-switch billing scheme with decaying infrastructure and employees who don’t care.
Do not sign, swipe, or walk into this location unless you’re ready to dispute charges and call corporate to clean up their mess.

They advertise 3 day free pass to try it out, but it's a lie. We went there to compare it to other gyms, had a very long tour and talk with a sales guy and only after the time we wasted looking at place, including a run down locker and shower rooms, he mentioned that the advert on their website is a lie and we won't get 3 day pass. We walked right out.

Most of the team is nice, but there’s a female manager who’s new who is really rude and does not know how to do anything with customer service.
When I was standing at the front, she indirectly spoke about me to the staff and told them that I could not stand there instead of just directly asking me not to stand there. I had no warning just an indirect aggressiveness toward me and someone blatantly talking about me which I could hear.
This is not how you treat people who have been coming to this gym for more than 10 years. It’s also Why this is my least favorite LA fitness in Miami Dade. The people suck.

Filthy, unsafe and the staff is so unprofessional. The managers all sleep together and are in everyone’s business but their own. Members have been assaulted and stalked here multiple times.

It is a shame how this gym deteriorated in such a short period, poor customer service, pool and Jacuzzi have been shut down for almost a year, broken equipment all over, dirty bathrooms, and the worst thing is that they treat us their customers like we are the enemy.

mens locker room it’s really stincky …. people dress up in the sauna some of them bring even the backpack.. unbelievable
