I had an excellent experience at Nick’s Auto clinic. If you’re looking for a reliable, honest , knowledgeable, and efficient mechanic shop, I highly recommend it. I’ll definitely be returning for all my future maintenance and repairs.

Well he’s done it again!! Fixed what seemed like a huge job with honesty and integrity. Told us to drive it out; it would be fine it had just been sitting too long. He also has fixed the whining noise in the steering column that our dealership up home couldn’t fix but charged me $300 to tell me that. Kirk did it all for $50. Honestly the man is amazing. Honest is just too simple a word but that’s what he is!! A genuinely honest mechanic with a wealth of knowledge!!
JANUARY 2025 We can’t believe we found this place.
We had our 2015 Cadillac ATS towed to AAMCO Venice and they quoted a minimum $4300. for a full transmission replacement.
We decided to have it towed to Kirk at Nick’s Auto Clinic for a 2nd opinion. WOW - it was a filter and fluids - cost $470.
If you want a fabulous honest mechanic then Nick’s Auto Clinic is your place!

I moved to Florida in April of 2023. Nicks Auto happened to be the closest mechanic to where I lived at the time, so I gave them a shot. Since day 1, Curt has gone above and beyond to take care of any issue my car has. Driving 1000+ miles most weeks, having a car I can rely on is crucial. Any issue that pops up, Curt figures it out and gets it resolved in a timely manner, at an affordable price. Whether you live in Venice, North Port, Port Charlotte, or even further, Nick’s Auto will get you taken care of at an affordable price. Highly recommend!

We broke down on the way back from vacation. Nick was able to quickly help us find a tow truck, get the car repaired same day and back on the road in no time. Very friendly staff and fixed the car well with absolutely no complaints. Would definitely recommend.

Decided to bring my car here because of all the good reviews and comments about honesty. They were quick and efficient and got my car done fast even though they were super busy. I thought it was weird that my driver window was left down half way when I went to leave. They were all up when I handed over my keys. Smoked a cigarette and went to roll it back up but it wouldn't budge, tried to roll it down and the whole window fell into the door. I'd never had a problem with it before. I called to ask if something had happened to it or see if they noticed anything but they were a bit hostile about it. It's not like I was pointing fingers, just expected the honesty that everyone is raving about. I manage a construction company and deal with customers screaming and blaming me all the time, to get something for free, so I know how bad it can be and wouldn't do that to someone. I didn't appreciate the way I was talked to when I was only asking a question. Other than that, I do believe these guys know what they're doing.
*Edit* Yes, you changed out my spark plugs, that wasn't my issue. Yes, you rolled down my window. No, it was not opened by anyone but you. I didn't blame you, just asked a simple question. Your response to my review shows exactly what my review is about. Rude for no reason. Embarrassing. Have a great day.
