Don't follow through. Take the order online and charge bank. Then cancel it if not in stock. Never call back. Have to wait up to 10 days for the charge to be removed. Waste of time.

It's disgusting the conditions that the fish are kept in at this location. Tanks full with dozens of dead and decaying fish. It's no wonder why so many die, too, considering they're swimming around in the wastewater of decaying corpses. The floor of one tank was completely covered in dead shrimp, and the tank beneath it had so many dead fish that you couldn't even see the bottom of it in some spots. It's absolutely unacceptable. With the amount of employees they have, it shouldn't be difficult to maintain their fish tanks better than this.

Amazing! The manager at pet supermarket in North Port, Fl. literally jumped through hoops trying to get my 3 golden doodles their special food. I can not thank her enough,, I hope the company appreciates an employee like Adrian.(I know if she had worked for me I would have!) Thanks again- I will buy from her as long as I have my dogs- Henry, Hazel and Hydee

I came in with my dog to use the dog bath and there was a huge group of people at the cashier stand, so I asked the girl there if I could just wash my dog and pay after. She said she was new and didn't care. I got my dog in the tub; collar attached; apron on; wet with hose all with having brought my own shampoo; and this guy comes over and says he's the manager and tells me I'm going to have to stop what I'm doing and go stand in line and pay. I said, "I can't leave my dog here, and he said he would watch her, which I'm sure many dog owners would understand THAT is not always possible in that situation and certainly not with my dog. I explained as such. So, I reached back while holding my dog in place to my purse and pulled out $10 cash and said, "here you go". He said, "No, you have to go get in line and pay." And, I'll add here that I also offered him my credit card. I said, "I couldn't leave her that she would not be OK with him." I shared with him if he was a manager that he could make a different choice here and work with a customer. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said he was it. It was his posture, his tone, his demeanor.... almost gross! He told me to stop what I was doing, so I did, and on the way out, I pointed at him and repeated he could have made a different choice altogether. He threatened me with calling the police, etc. I expressed loudly that I would not ever shop here and that I was already leaving. He reminded me of one of those men who have small man syndrome or a Napoleon complex. He has NO business managing anyone and certainly not being around pet owners. I have gone there several times, often to visit the vets that come, and buying product. I will NOW NEVER support Pet Supermarket again bc of that, and I'd like to see that man fired. You don't treat people like that... you try to work with them. There are so many different ways he could have handled it.

I never write reviews but the employees need to be educated on proper behavior in the work place. Or they should just find a different job that doesn't involve animals. I was there to buy a couple quick items when I heard from across the store the male employee cursing up a storm regarding a customer that just left the self bathing area. He was literally so irate because there was shampoo, hair and water everywhere.... The petite women washed a large huskie... there's going to be water everywhere! That's kind of the point of going to these establishments. Will not be going back to this pet store. They just will talk crap when you walk out the door.

Really disappointed at my last visit We've been self grooming our dog there for over a year but I guess they recently changed management per the cashier? Anyway, they used to provide shampoo with the cost of the self wash. Now you have to ask for it and it was so watered down I could not get a lather. My dog just smelled like "wet dog". I ended up buying shampoo (even though I already had some at home). It doubled the cost of the self wash! Guess that's the idea huh?! Next time I'll know to bring my own.

I shop at Pet Supermarket on the reg because they are the only store that carries the dog and cat foot I give my pets but here is my issue. the assistant manager is a total j**** I was shopping in the plaza this store is in and 1 store down me and my daughter sees a rabbit in a laundry basket tucked under a bush with rope over the top so the rabbit can't get out. Concerned, we go into pet supermarke, assuming they have numbers to local vets, humane society or whoever that can help this animal and this guy (the assistant manager I presume ) looks at me and says "what do you want me to do about it" I'm so taken back by his response and I'm like "maybe you know someone to call? Animal control, humane societ, I don't know" and he's like "well, why didn't you go into dollar tree and tell them." REALLY???? you're a pet store, I figured they would have better resources. This dude couldn't care less about this poor animal and he just walked away from me. I finally found someone that knew about the rabbit and said animal control was coming because it was hit by a car. I really just couldn't believe this guy in the pet store. What a douch bag. he was such a j**** I will be going to a different Pet Supermarket from now on. So disappointed

They are open. They let you go in the door but get your items for you. They are doing a great job keeping us safe and being able to get our pets food. Great job!

Never have any crickets or worms. Sell pets without keeping stock of anything to feed them with.

Went there needing to find a new dog food for my lab. The girl at the counter, JayJay, was very helpful and sweet. She didn't send me off to another person. She seemed genuinely interested in me and my dog's needs. Recommended a new brand, and Miley has been doing good on it!! Went in looking for JayJay again to thank her and ask about some treats..but I think she left--a shame because the boy that had to help me was not so passionate and kind.

My grandson and I were in this store and purchased a white Parakeet. I brought it home and set up its new cage. Not long after I noticed that the bird had a runny stool and it wouldn't touch it's food. I returned the bird the next day and the manager Adam said he would bring it to the vet the next day and in the meantime treat the bird too. Well the next day I went to see the bird and he was doing well. However the employee Adam who told me he was taking the bird to the vet accused me of feeding the bird Bonanza Parakeet food which I did not. He even argued w/ me that it was found in his food dish. I said if that was the case then someone in the store put it in there and if he truly didn't believe me then to look up my receipts to verify the fact. He was rude and continued to be argumentative. After the next few days he said the bird was getting better and it was a dietary problem but meanwhile he said he was treating the bird w/ antibiotics. Why? And I could pick him up Wed at 4 pm and he wasn't taking him to the vet because he was getting better. When I confronted him w/ his original agreement he again became argumentative. When I went to pick up the bird which my grandson was now attached to he had a fellow employee tell me the bird was fine meanwhile he had bird bites and open wounds all over several fingers from handling various birds and was not a bird expert or a veterinarian as I was told he was. The cage was also dirty and shells remained in the bird's water and food dish. The bird had p*** stains on him which he said he was going to clean. He did not. I couldn't disappoint my heartbroken nine yo grandson and took the bird. I plan on contacting the corporate office tomorrow. And see if they would honor their contract and I can bring the bird to a certified vet and they would take responsibility for their contract.. As of now this manager Adam fabricated so many stories I no longer trust his word. He made me sell the bird back to the store so he could bring it to the veterinarian and he failed to do so. And argued that the bird was better therefore he didn't need to go to the vet. This employee Adam has no medical background and was administering antibiotics w/ out consulting a veterinarian and treating it himself.
