Crunch members BEWARE! Pay attention to your monthly membership fee because this gym is committing fraud and should be investigated. Stephanie the General Manager is rude and will not refund you when confronted regarding these "additional fees". Corporate will not help you as this is a franchise gym. The gym always has multiple machines broken that are never repaired. Run far away from this gym unless you want to be SCAMMED!

attended my Crunch gym location in Oakland Park Florida on 9/23/23. As I always do, I do a lot of cardio in the gym which involves a lot of walking, not all of it being on the treadmills. I have done this for quite some time, and have a route/routine that I do. Every morning Crunch wants to run some type of class back in the back of the gym and block its members from doing their workout in that area, which is clearly supposed to be for all gym fitness customers, and I I pay a premium monthly price for a membership. Today I was told that I could not go back in the area because they were having their class, and it was too dangerous for me to be back there. If you're having a class that is too dangerous for people to be back in the area while you're having class, then perhaps that class is too dangerous to have in the 1st place. Secondly, if it is that dangerous for me to be back there, then perhaps the class should be moved to your cardio/step area, where it is secluded and not in the way of other Crunch members who are being denied use of that part of the gym. This was all attributed to Ty and GM Stephanie, who were both less than pleasant. Ty ultimately spreads out his classes workout area, intentionally, so that other people cannot get into the area, except for the heavy weights, which for some reason people are allowed in to that area. This class normally lasts an hour, but for some reason today, Ty decided to extend it for 2 hours. Crunch certainly has the right to have classes for it's members, but they certainly do not have the right to restrict access of their other members, and discriminate against the rest of the Crunch members who are there trying to do their workout routine, especially when I pay a top price to be at the fitness club!To continue this issue, today I was working out at Crunch, and their policy to not let everyone back in that area must only apply to those they seem to want to discriminate against, because not only was the class in session, there were other people in the area that were clearly not a part of the class. Be very careful, Crunch will discriminate to satisfy their own personal wishes.

?️♂️ **Honest Review of Crunch Fitness Oakland Park** ?️♀️I believe in giving constructive feedback to help businesses improve, and my recent experiences at Crunch Fitness in Oakland Park have prompted me to share my thoughts. In all honesty, the gym's environment has been somewhat less motivating lately. There have been consistent issues, including over a dozen broken pieces of equipment in just the past month, and a persistent problem with the water temperature and filters. While the front desk staff is friendly and helpful, I've noticed a difference in the friendliness of certain personal trainers, which can be unwelcoming if you're not paying for a private class. On a more positive note, I've experienced a more motivating and vibrant atmosphere at the Crunch Fitness branch in Tamarac, with more equipment options and a generally positive vibe.I believe there's tremendous potential for improvement at the Oakland Park branch. I hope this feedback reaches the owner and management, as addressing these issues could make this gym more competitive and appealing. Let's work together to create a better gym experience for everyone! ?? #CrunchFitnessReview #FeedbackForImprovement

This place is filled with incompetent people. No one knows what the hell they're doing there and can't take responsibility for their mistakes. I moved from Palm Beach to Ft Lauderdale and walked into their gym to get the switch done. They gave me a new fob and made me sign new documents. I never ended up actually going much so I called and asked them how to go about cancelling the membership. I was told that all I needed to do was just email the manager account and that it would be taken care of. No follow up email necessary and to just check my bank account to make sure I didn't get charged again.. a month later I check my bank and I'm charged for another month plus $50+ for who knows what, because my monthly was only $12 after fees and taxes. I called the Oakland Park location and some guy answered and couldn't even get my phone number correct because he was too busy chatting and laughing with others while on the phone with me. I asked to speak to the manager and he paid zero attention to me and hung up. I followed up with an email to the same manager email I originally sent my cancellation request to and asked for an immediate response regarding the issue. I was told my membership is actually with Palm Beach and not them so they aren't responsible for cancelling my account. I said they certainly must have it wrong since I made sure to switch gyms after moving and have an email thread as backup. The manager said there was nothing she could do and to reach out to Palm Beach. I called Palm Beach and they said they're unsure of what the Oakland Park location did, because I still showed active and as part of their gym up there. The manager there said he couldn't do anything about the charges and that I had to take it up with management at Oakland Park. Meanwhile, the manager Stephanie at Oakland Park says she can't do anything about the charges because it was charged by the Palm Beach location. This company is such a scam! In a matter of a month they have charged me $78.87 without my authorization and no one will take accountability for it. On top of it all, there is no number for corporate and you can only submit a request online. This is FRAUD and I am reporting you! Do not waste your money on this place. You literally get what you pay for. The Palm Beach location was actually nice, but this location in Fort Lauderdale is disgusting and outdated. Not worth a cent.

Another gym where membership is sold by the facility with a refusal to provide a written agreement. Crunch seeks to obtain contract signature without providing the contract. Just sign a keypad. I asked for a paper copy to review and manager refused. Instead he suggests going online to review. When I replied that was not acceptable because that was not necessarily the contract I was asked to sign online his brusque reply was "tough". Really unscrupulous tactics by the gym. Beware.

Sure would be nice to have a men's locker room that female employees are not using as a break room. She loves to hang out in the men's locker room and talk to her girlfriends on the phone.

Every single time I’m at the gym this woman who is supposed to be working is always in the men’s restroom talking on the phone. now because I went and complained and I took a picture of her. I got kicked out because she accused me of cursing at her which was never the case and the new manager is a piece of garbage go to any other gym. The rules state no cell phone allowed

Beware of this place Seriously! On April 27th I signed up for the $24 a month plan using my MasterCard, all of my payments were processed without a problem until June, July and August I noticed they unlawfully withdrew over $200 out of my bank account, I never gave them my bank card information in anyway, shape or form for this account and absolutely no authorization to use this account. The general manager was completely rude and out of line, instead of receiving an apology along with a refund I had to contact my bank and submit a fraud claim.

Rude front desk girl Aisha. So I’ve been a member at Crunch fitness a couple months ago but I always go to the Coral Springs location but due to some stuff that I was doing I had to go to this Crunch on Oakland Park.I forgot my tag but luckily I had a picture of it, somehow it didn’t work the first time. The girl Aisha on the front desk started giving us a really bad attitude treating me and my girlfriend like we were stealing from her not very cool we didn’t appreciate that.I had to get in contact with the GM on Coral Springs to fix my tag.Meanwhile Aisha was not trying to find a solution and her attitude was more and more rude.I also noticed that she treats like that to other members.Definitely Aisha is not good for the front desk position as it requires someone happy willing to help also Stephanie the GM didn’t try to correct her employee attitude.Hopefully this review helps for improving customer service because members just want to feel welcome and workout.

This gym is great. I don’t feel uncomfortable at all. The staff is very friendly. It’s very clean, there is a lot of equipment to use. The only issue is parking at peak time after work, but it’s a great gym. I highly recommend it.

I was there when Daniel Johnedis (the previous reviewer) was there, he arrived after us and the manager explained very nicely to him that she'd be right with him as soon as she finished helping us. He waited for 5 min then came over and interrupted us with "HORRIBLE Terrible MEAN! I have to leave cause I have a job. I'm going to leave a bad review"We and the manager were all left in shock for this sudden uncalled for instruction. Apparently he was too (self-) important to wait 5 min for his turn. I have no idea how he planned to do a workout in the 5 min he waited before storming out full drama queen style. You can also see from his other reviews that he likes to leave 1* reviews whenever he doesn't get his way.The manager is always super helpful and remembers us every time. Gym has everything we need.
