While others go to church on Sundays I like to visit Home Depot because unlike a church I'm able to see faster results for whatever I'm giving them money for. Pros - The staff is practically non-existent throughout the store with the exception of the self checkout area, for an anti-social person such as myself this is great . As the great Kris Jenner once said "you're doing amazing sweetie". Cons - now that the registers have all been switched to self check out scan guns, I think they should consider hand wipes/sani wipes at each register. Only 66% of people actually wash their hands after using the restroom and while I'm excited about my latest dremel attachment I'm not excited about the dude in front of me who just pissed in the parking lot next to his roofing truck touching the scan gun .

No one answers telephones Oakland Park Fl store on Oakland Park Blvd.,so I go to store August 23rd. Not one to help. Spoke to store manager Victor, He helped me.No staff in electrical, paint, appliances or plumbing, which is in 2 different parts of Oakland Park FL. store on Oakland Park Blvd. This store is the most difficult in Nation to get assistance. I'm a surgeon, I generally need help in big box stores.Every other store is better,I contacted president at corporate. They sent me a $500.00 visa gift card.Nice, Thats a nickel of my time. I have hired a staff in my practice to shop for me,gave hime gift card a free bonus for his use.

Because I'm elderly and disabled I decided to try HD Express delivery. I ordered about 12 bags of heavy manure and mulch and some other garden supplies. HD sent a little 5' Spanish lady that spoke zero English let alone be able to pick up bags that weighed more than 50 lbs. I asked her to stack them so they could not be seen from my busy street and she was not able to do anything but drag them off the back of her SUV. Not to mention she handed me a broken 16" pot I ordered and drove off when I had a $10 bill in my hand to give her as a tip. LOL I called the store and after an hour had to call 800 number because HD store does not answer the phone. Said they would refund pot and apologize but did not receive any refund. HD has sadly disappointed me time after time. What a lousy way to do business!

I was here at 8:45am and bought sod. Came back at 3:30 with the man I hired to pick it up. Waited forever to get the forklift and then they told me they ran out of gas. Now its 4:20 and I'm still waiting....guy comes out and makes an excuse of why they ran out of gas. I asked why he couldn't check the gas in the morning? "We wait until it runs out." Duh. I asked if he waited until gas runs out in his car too. We are running out of daylight soon, Thanks Home Depot. You suck.

TLDR: my go-to Home Depot _____ I come here quite often. From paint to tools to things for around the house (a hose recently). I find the associates to be hit or miss. The paint department especially. You'll get someone nice and helpful one one day and someone that hates you the next. I've had associates help me cut shelving units, make keys and help me with lighting options before. All of them were great. But a couple of times I've asked questions and they just say it's not their department....and walk away. Store is organized. Great selection of outdoor stuff (plants and furniture) which not all of them have. And it seems most of not all registers now are self checkout. Making for a super fast and smooth check out process.

Typical Home Depot. My visit to this local was strictly to visit the outside area for yard work. I'm in the market of redecorating the front yard and went to purchase a few bags of soil, trees to plant, and look at planters. Pricing was quite competitive price ranging from the low $5 on up. The plants were nice i did notice some trees being sold looked quited weathered. The items were neatly stacked and signage was visible. I did notice no representatives checked to see if i needed any assistance which in a place like this is typically needed since most items are stacked high. Luckily all the items i needed were in arm reach. Overall my experience with the flowers were good. Priced well and in good condition. I would definitely revisit this location since its local and easy to find. I would recommend more service help in this area especially on the weekend

So sorry the employees here had to show up today instead of staying in bed, hiding in the isles chatting, actually appeared annoyed that I asked for help. Somebody else asked them if they were on break I just left. One of the worst Home Depots around.

One of the Home Depot locations in my general area. As Home Depot's go, it touches all the familiar buttons. Store might be a tad bit smaller than some of the nearby Home Depots. So, some of the department might have fewer options on some things. But this one certainly covers all of the basics: tools, lighting, appliances, plumbing, lumber, garden center, etc. Because this Home Depot - like most of them - has a good-sized parking lot, the portion of the lot closest to the main entrance from the street (ner the Checkers burger place) tends to attract guys who hang around looking for 'day work.' Harmless enough. They're just waiting to see if anyone leaving the lot needs some extra hands for a few hours to help with a job. Just doesn't look real good when you drive in. Located on Oakland Park Blvd, just a couple of blocks west of 95. So, it's a easily accessible if you're driving from a further distance. All in all, a decent choice for your Home Depot needs.

I've stopped at this Home Depot a few time because I'm working on some DIY creative projects. In general, I do feel like this location is a lot smaller than other locations I've been to, but honestly, I don't need it to be that big. I just needed my supplies, mostly from the lighting department, and I was good-to-go. I've probably been here three times in the past week and only been offered help once. Sometimes it's a little hard to find someone (from the right department) to get some help from so I end up doing a lot of Googling while I'm there to make sure what I need or am doing is right. Their cashiers/customer service department is where they make up for things. There are essentially no lines when checking out. I don't know how it's possible, but I never wait. I've had to make returns and if I've lost the receipt, which I typically do, all I need is the debit/credit card it was paid with and they'll find the transaction and put it back on the card (or give you the cash). For me, it's great if I know what I'm coming in for and don't have any questions, but really, I always have questions so it would be great if it were easier to find help there. Other than that, there really isn't anything wrong with this Home Depot.

What can I say! This Home Depot really needs to step it up. To many wrong prices! Need more responsible employees. Most of the employees Are useless when it comes down to directing you! But today was the last chance! Pulled up to the cash register, started taking my items out of the cart, I stop halfway through and looked at her and said are you going to scan my items! Her response was I'm going to lunch and walked off. From the beginning she should of told me, hey I'm closed. I would of went to a different register. But she waiting till I was almost done taking all my item out the cart to tell me she was closed. I wanted to cuss her out so bad but I'm going to be the bigger person.

Just had an amazing experience at Home Depot ordering bi-fold doors. We waited for an employee for several minutes, when a supervisor, Malcolm, spotted us. He was so helpful I can't begin to say. He took care of our special order in a professional and efficient manner. He was especially adept at using the computer and putting our rather complex order into the correct format. Even though another employee who worked in that department finally arrived, Malcolm stayed and completed the order showing the other person how this kind of special order is done. Because of our wait he threw in free delivery of our 3 doors. He was the best thing I have ever seen at Home Depot. Thanks Malcolm.....

HORRIBLE and EXPENSIVE!! We recently purchased an electric range from this Home Depot. We scheduled the delivery date and waited with excitement for the day our new Whirlpool range would be delivered. I then took the scheduled delivery day off work to await the delivery and provide access into my condo. When the Home Depot appliance delivery arrived, the delivery guy selected the appropriate electrical pigtail to fit the 240v outlet in my kitchen and installed it onto our brand new Whilpool range. When the delivery guy plugged it in, ALL the lights in our condo suddenly went out. EVERYTHING was dead!! The Home Depot delivery guys tried flipping the breaker switches in our electrical panel off/on/off/on and still nothing. Just then, the maintenance supervisor for our condo building passed by and inquired about the situation with the delivery guys. After some discussion with the delivery/install team, my maintenance supervisor said he would go check the main circuit breaker in the basement. About 5 minutes later, the supervisor returned to inform me that the main circuit breaker for my condo unit had been BLOWN OUT COMPLETELY!! The Home Depot delivery team of two then parked the brand new oven in the middle of my living room and told me to call them to come back and install the oven AFTER I CALL AN ELECTRICIAN TO FIX THE BLOWN MAIN BREAKER!! They informed me that only they, the Home Depot delivery service, could be the ones to install my new oven otherwise it would void my warranty. So, it's after business hours. I now had NO AIR CONDITIONING, NO HOT WATER, NO REFRIGERATOR, NOTHING and was scrambling to find a licensed electrician (authorized to perform work in our building) who would make an emergency/unscheduled trip out first thing in the morning to troubleshoot and fix the problem. Turns out, according to the electrician, when the HOME DEPOT DELIVERY CREW, installed the pigtail, they clipped part of the sheathing on one of the wires enough to allow the copper to make contact with the metal of the new oven. This 240v short circuit was enough to completely blow out the main breaker for my condo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TWO-HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS LATER, the electrician had not only replaced the blown breaker with a new one, he did troubleshooting on the new oven and pigtail to discover the problem. I had to pay an electrician $250 to fix HOME DEPOTS SCREW UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I then DRIVE BACK OUT TO THIS STORE (because no one EVER picks up the phone here) to speak with the Store Manager, Mauricio, about rescheduling an the HOME DEPOT Delivery Crew to COME BACK to my condo to replace the first pigtail they ruined and install the new oven. Mauricio proceed to explain that he had rescheduled the installation crew to come back out to my condo the followning day sometime between 11AM AND 4PM!!!!! TAKE ONE MORE DAY OFF WORK TO WAIT FOR THESE IDIOTS TO SHOW UP AND DO THE JOB THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME--BUT DIDN'T. So, my purchase of a new Whirlpool range from this Home Depot has so far ended up costing me TWO (2) DAYS OFF WORK/LOST WAGES PLUS $250 for the electrician to come and replace the blown breaker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way, as of this posting, the new oven is STILL sitting in the middle of my living room and the HOME DEPOT delivery/installation crew HAS NOT ARRIVED AS SCHEDULED!!!!! ========================== Final Update: One more day off work (that's FOUR now), WITHOUT PAY, and the new range finally arrived 90 minutes AFTER the scheduled delivery window!!! This appliance purchase debacle with Home Depot took way longer than it should have and cost me FOUR TIMES the cost of the actual range considering the numerous days off work PLUS the electrician PLUS untold hours on the phone with various Home Depot reps trying to get this mater resolved!! NEVER, EVER again will I purchase ANYTHING from Home Depot--not even a paintbrush!! I'm going to AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!
