“This is the most adorable little old-fashioned post office. It is something to just walk into to see the old gold colored post office boxes with key holes. The people who work at this post office are generally lovely. The Oakland Post Master is a cantankerous, angry man, who if you ask a question of him, raises his voice at you and starts to "preach" at you, depending on what question you asked. He apparently has been at the Oakland Post Office for quite a while and feels like he has the right to dictate local politics and to express his opinion on any topic. If I see him at the window, I say nothing, get my business done, and try to leave before he can go off on me. Don't get me wrong, everybody else that works there is 100% lovely. He is not frequently at the window, thank goodness. Otherwise it is a quaint, customer oriented, and kind place to be. I recommend it if he is not there.”

“Kind and patient. And FYI, if you don’t want the envelope folded you have to pay/package it appropriately. Writing “do not bend” with the wrong packaging to save money is not the carriers fault.”

“I've never been to this post office until today. I always go to the one by the Grove on Conroy-Windermere or on Turkey Lake Rd. I found the service at Gotha exceptional. He helped me with holiday stamps, getting all of the selections available. He also informed me that if I process the one letter I had while I was buying stamps, I could track it for free through my informed delivery. I was grateful because I did not want to do tracking with certified mail requiring a signature especially since it was just down the road about 15 miles.”

“Super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Even when there is a line of people during rush hour the staff works very efficiently so the wait is never long. My favorite USPS location ever!”

“First time here and my experience was a positive one. I had a problem of COA and the man(Quan) who attended me was kind, patient and courteous. He diligently did his best to address my problem and I believe he has helped to correct it. His coworker was there and she was also very polite. It was a friendly atmosphere.”

“Ok. I will admit that the elderly gentleman who USED to work at this branch was SOOOOO slow. However, in the past five months or so, the staff there have been great. Yes, there is only one register, but there are usually only a few customers. They are always friendly and they recognize and greet their regular customers. I rarely ever have to wait for more than a few minutes. You do have to be aware of the lunch break (10:30-11:30) and that they close at 2:30, but if you remember these things, then this Post Office is a great alternative to the chaotic one at Avalon in WG.”

“Azalea helped me mail a large pillow to Jacksonville. She was patient, knowledgeable, humorous, and thorough, helping me figure out which packaging to use, getting me the best and most affordable rate, and even chatting up my baby, who adored her antics. Such a nice lady and truly got my day off to a good start.”

“I’ve learned in my 15+ years in Marketing that in most cases the way we approach a person will dictate how they respond. I had the pleasure of speaking to a very nice lady named Rhonda who was very apologetic about my package being missed on a pickup. She got it taken care of immediately and arranged for the pickup before the day closed. See I remember always that I’m a customer when I’m not in my work attire. I have to treat my customers how I want to be treated. (The Golden Rule) It’s easy for us as customers to forget that and we can’t even imagine how rude we can be and how the interaction before you stepped in the building could have made the representative upset. We don’t know what it takes for people to show up to work everyday. Life is not a joke and many people live on the edge of existence. I challenge everyone to self examine and ask what can I do to make our local post Office a better place. I dare you to shower them with love and appreciation. It’s important that the US Post offices keep thriving because they are an important element in the economy.”

“Super helpful! If you need anything done, don’t call in (the phones are automated by the government). Just come to the location in person and they’ll help you with anything you need.”
