Such a pleasure to work with. I initially spoke with Matt, who laid out the brass tax on a loan for a first home purchase. He was welcoming and understanding of our situation; hearing and listening to our situation and position. Once we all were confident and understanding, I was introduced to Cherise, Matt’s writer. What an absolute pleasure to say the least. Cherise was on top of everything. She took on my first time home buyer questions and nerves like a pro. She never seemed aggravated or rushed. She handled everything flawlessly and with compassion. She found mistakes and made sure we were getting a fair shake. She treated and watched out for us as if we were family members. She showed up to our closing radiating the same compassion and joy that felt through our phone conversations. She is a diamond in the rough and an absolute blessing to us. Thank you all for everything!!!!

BUYER BEWARE!! If you are needing a lender- go elsewhere!! Run don't walk! We had a great experience at 1st. Got a preapproval letter (2 actually cause we decided on a new construction). 2 months later... no loan no home and we had to give up our escrow! It was a sinking ship and the captain (Allstate Mortgage) blamed the musicians (underwriters). Finally had to get management to help cause our phone calls weren't going through??? Over the phone, Matt the manager promised to give it his best and 2 days later we ended up showing up in person cause we heard nothing back. He told us "well its not cause you don't have enough income...blah blah blah...2 days later we got denied cause our income was not usable cause we are independent contractors with a joint banking acct (what???) and have a new business. So it's a losing battle!! No cause now we can warn others! If you were burned by them call: the Florida department of business professional regulation...we will. If they get enough complaints they will be investigated.A prominent real-estate attorney has had many complaints about Allstate Mortgage and seriously encouraged us to follow through with contacting them. We will... we truly hope the word gets out and noone else suffers like we did.
