Had my machine previously repaired by SleepQuest and it broke again not long after :( Then worked with Altra and the machine has been running perfectly for a good year now. It was fast, affordable, and fixed the problem.

I had an excellent experience with the people at Altra SP. My CPAP was repaired speedily and seemingly effectively over the Xmas and New Year period 2023/4. There was a minor email issue which slightly delayed the repair and return process but I was not inconvenienced. I was initially apprehensive but rapidly reassured by the responsive and friendly exchanges with Altra. (To those who weren't happy with their service I would suggest that an open and polite approach is helpful.) Thanks Tony, Cassidy and everyone else involved in the repair.

Had to send machine back because it wasn’t fixed right the first time. I asked that they pay shipping both ways since I had to send it back. The guy refused and said if I wanted my machine returned, then I had to pay return shipping, period. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he told me he didn’t have one. When I told him I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, he told me that they don’t belong to the BBB, go ahead. He then sent me a nasty text message telling me you have to pay to belong to the BBB and addressed me as “Big man”He also informed me, “We are the ONLY Certified service center” for these machines. Altra is a racket, likely M_a_f_i_a. I will NOT be a repeat customer with Altra Service Professionals ("Altra"), to repair/maintain my SimplyGo oxygen concentrator ("machine"), unless they send a check for $145 forthwith. They are a scam. They are located in Florida and Connecticut. Just so you know, my machine's power supply (aka "power cord") is proprietary to manufacturer Philips, and no other power cord can be substituted. Bought separately (retail), the power cord costs $140+. It ain't cheap. My machine needed maintenance. To prepare to ship my machine to their facility, Altra's emailed instructions make a point to "definitely" include the machine's power cord and battery. I shipped Altra four things: the machine, the power cord, one battery, and a packing list stating what was in the box. I even lashed the power cord to the machine, where if they receive the machine, they receive the power cord -- no ifs, ands, or buts. During the week they had the machine, they lost or stole the power cord. When I received back the machine, only the machine and battery were in the box -- no power cord. Altra proceeded to disavow all knowledge of having received the power cord; they implied that I was batty and did not ship the power cord ("did I forget?"). In correspondence, they did NOT make it right. I was not a happy camper. In order to make my machine operable, I was forced to buy the proprietary power cord on the open market for $145. Two weeks later, Altra "deigned" to ship me a power cord, of which I refused to accept delivery. I don't need two power cords. Too little, too late. For a company that deals with people's oxygen, they are messing around with people's lives. They should know better. In those two weeks, without oxygen, I could have died, and that would be on them. Nice lawsuit for my family. Altra is an unethical company. I suspect they sell power cords on eBay for $100+. Not only that, this gambit discriminates against the elderly and/or the ill where many people cannot afford to buy a second power cord, or are too ill to fight it. With any future company I deal with that repairs or maintains my SimplyGo, I will NEVER, EVER ship the power cord. I will tell the future company why on the cover letter/packing list in the shipping box. This disreputable act of Altra's hurt their entire industry. In future, Altra, and companies in this line of business, must furnish power cords they have in stock since, after all, they are in THAT business. They don't need each customer to ship a power cord, an item so easily lost/misplaced/stolen by employees. Altra can get a pretty penny on the black market for the various power cords customers send them where Altra says "they never got." I advise others NOT to include power cord to any company they ship to repair/maintain their oxygen generator. I got rooked out of $145 (aka "sucker"), and don't want it to happen to others. At best, their intake department is unprofessional, not bothering to properly document inventory received, nor do they keep all items of one order together in the interim. Immediately upon receiving my box, they should have filled out a formal internal document, signed: SimplyGo machine ; power cord; battery. Then in preparing to return my stuff, document, signed: SimplyGo machine ; power cord; battery. If something goes missing, the company is able to see who did the deed at what juncture, and find out what the hell happened BEFORE the machine gets returned to customer. The employee should be reprimanded and fired. If Altra goes out of business, so be it. They earned the loss of my goodwill.

The BEST customer service experience I’ve had all year thanks to Altra and Andrew in Berlin Ct. They found and fixed my CPAP problem in less than a day and had me back to sleep that night. Competent, helpful and understanding of the importance to the client. Thanks Altra & Andrew. 6 ⭐️’S

I agree with other posts. I was skeptical that this would end up being money out the window having to send my machine in and waiting. But I was so happy with their process. I sent my machine in, about 5 days later, I received an email that they received my machine. 2 days later, I got an email explaining what was needed (again, I thought for sure they would say both board and motor would need replacing whether they were both bad or not, but no, they told me it only needed a motor) along with an estimate of 275 I think. I approved via reply. About 5 days later I received my machine back and it is working like new! I never do reviews, but you guys deserve it. Thanks so much.

Sent my noisy CPAP to them from MA to FL. They repaired and sent back to me in 11 days (2 were the weekend when closed). When I turned it on, I thought it was broken because it was so quiet. THANK YOU. Great job. Highly recommend them.

A VERY CLEVER $CAM , it works like this. On their website you fill out a web form specifying the make, model and the serial number of your equipment. You are then redirected to a UPS site where you print a shipping label. You then package and ship your equipment with the label you printed. Afterwards you receive an email saying that they don't service your make and model. You protest by saying but the web form, I was very accurate! they respond by saying that people are ignorant and they will type anything into it, I tested this by typing complete gibberish and I still received a shipping label. Why is that? Well, for a price of a shipping label they can receive free medical equipment. I pointed that out and Alta said why would the want that? We don't even fix it. Let me ask, why would I want your broken boat, your broken gold chain, your broken Mercedes Benz? Because it has value. Be very cautious with these people, I l already have contacted Florida AG Office on this matter. How many more sick people have fallen into this trap?

In this day of scams and distrust… it is refreshing to deal with company that not only does what it says it will do but completes it in record time with shipping as well.Those of you that use a Cpap know what a life changer it is….
