I had to have my 19yr old pup put down. They made the process as easy as possible and explained everything in detail. They showed so much compassion for my situation. I went in all by myself and they made me feel not alone. The technician Sarah and Dr. Krueger were amazing to have companied me through this difficult experience. I got my pups remains back today and there was a lot in the bag that surprised me as I did not ask any of this from them. Made me cry all over again but very happy I have the keepsakes I do now thanks to them.

No one ever identifies themselves when you call in and most of the employees here are unfriendly and look miserable especially Amanda, Devon and McKayla. Dr. Rooney and Dr. Collini aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, so if you have to go here I would highly recommend taking your fur babies to Dr. Ogawa and Dr. A. They are the good things about the clinic.

Brought in my cat. The overall experience was to pressure me into putting my animal down, misdiagnosing an intestinal obstruction, was told by the vet it was "hard fecal matter", did not find the cause of the renal failure which was the obstruction, instead was referring me to another animal hospital or to put down my animal. Was also told she would not administer fluids and would not perform cpr if my animal coded. Took my cat to another veterinary hospital for a second opinion, they actually asked my wishes if I wanted to perform cpr or not instead of telling me what to do, they were able to find the cause of her renal failure. The veterinarian is inexperienced and clouded by her own veterinary experiences with her own animals. She improperly diagnosed the cause of what was causing the symptoms in my pet. My pet is making a full recovery now instead of taking her advice to be put down and shown the euthanasia packages. The place I went to afterwards for a second opinion actually wanted to save animals. Thank God for central Florida. I would advise to drive anywhere but Ocala, and Gainesville isn't as advanced as they think they are. I work at a rehab facility and see many human patients come back butchered from Gainesville. Save your time and money and go to an experienced facility if anything more than routine pet maintenance is needed.

My dog got cut up by some thing and it looked like a very clean cut but it was bleeding and it was a little bit long. I had to put it on my CareCredit card which was over $700 just to be stitched up when I talk to another vet said that was way overpriced. I canceled my insurance and I'm going to another vet now I'd rather pay out-of-pocket and not pay a monthly fee of almost $60. I'm coming out ahead, just paying when I need the services and I need them for

They literally tore my cat up. I have seen many cat spays/neuters in my time. My cats spay sutures are terrible! She's like Frankenstein. I feel terrible. They must have rushed because they wanted to get out at 5. Also what archaic practice is it to use sutures? My dogs did not even recover outside sutures and they went to the humane society not the "high class" banfield.

This place is not low cost anymore. In fact they are dramatically higher. Our Schnauzer had ear infections that cost over $300 to swab and med. Called about having my other dog spayed. $500 and the one in lady lake quoted $700 plus $69 office visit and of course have to force vax. Byeeeeeee.

The new Banfield Pet Hospital located at 3505 SW College Rd Ocala, FL sent me with my dying dog away because the vet was at lunch and after that he had no available time. I preceded to go to the old location by PetSmart after I have called there twice and they sent me to the new location. I go there frustrated and asked if they can check my dog because I think she is dying and at the other location they didn't looked at her. They checked her and I was informed she had a bad infection and required surgery. The exam did not take more than 10 minutes, but the other vet didn't even look at her. They sent me to another hospital, for her procedure. She didn't survive the surgery but the point here is that when a customer calls or come over with their pet and is scared, alarmed, worried or concern you will think that someone will take a look at the sick pet here and explain the situation. A pet is a family member. When someone brings their sick pet, specially at this locations that have Pets Health Insurance they should see them, I mean you are in business to take care of animals, keep them healthy, and to make money. But it seems that making money might be a priority at Banfield and not the health and care of the pets. I will not be returning there with my other pets, cancelling the insurance and not recommending.

Do NOT go to Banfield!!! I took my 2 year old female dog there because nobody else would take me on such short notice. My dog was ate up with a yeast and bacterial infection after being misdiagnosed by another vet, which is what brought me to Banfield. I spent $555 at Banfield after spending $300 at my old vet. I'm struggling a little right now and I explained that to Dr. Vickers when he wanted me to pay over $800 for my dogs visit. I had to break it up to two separate visits so after paying the $555 I paid another $145 for the second visit. Yes I know that doesn't equal $800 and that's because I turned down a couple of "services" he suggested so they can fill their pockets a little more. I paid $180 for three prescriptions on the first visit and this is where my complaint starts. On my second visit, which was four weeks after my first visit because I had to put off the second visit an additional two weeks because I didn't have the money still, he said my dog needed a second round of antibiotics. I told him I was going to have to just continue to use the anti fungal/anti yeast shampoo for now because I couldn't afford another $180 for meds and $145 for the stuff I had to do that day. So he abruptly ended the visit and scheduled me back two weeks later for a third visit. I found out that you can get the prescriptions for your pet at a regular pharmacy and you can use the prescription Rx app to get coupons for them. I could have gotten all three prescription meds for $60!!! You have to be a real scum bag to know that your pet patient is suffering while battling a skin infection and send her away without meds so you can charge somebody three times the cost of what it would be at a regular pharmacy! That's exactly what he did. Also I want to mention that Dr. Vickers protested the fact that my old vet had educated me on how to make my dogs food in a crock pot using human grade food and supplementation. I explained that I didn't agree with feeding a living mammal a processed diet as that wouldn't be good for humans and it's not good for animals either, especially when even Dr. Vickers said that my dogs yeast problem was most likely due to a food allergy. He laughed and said that maybe he should stop eating processed food too. Uum ya think? I knew not to trust his opinion on this the first time I took my dog there not only because of the obvious but also because of that comment he made about himself eating processed food, he's forty years old and looks like he's fifty by the way so I definitely wouldn't trust anything he says about longevity since he doesn't care about his own. During my second visit we spoke about the diet again and he admitted that he had no education on animal diet and then told me that neither does any other vet. This is laughable because although I know that even regular doctors don't have much training on diet either, whether you are a human doctor or a vet, you have enough of an education to be able to interpret information about diet and teach yourself, but Dr. Vickers chooses not to because obviously he became a vet because it pays well!!! Too many vets out here trying to get rich with people's loved ones. What a scam artist!! Don't go here!!! They care more about offering a $60/month care plan and all these additional services you don't need than they do about your pet's wellbeing. If you know someone doesn't have a lot of money and they're still trying to take care of their pet, which really is more than some people do, you should let them know that there are alternative ways to get meds for your pet and much cheaper. You don't just send them away. There are a lot of people out there abusing or neglecting animals and places like this give vets a bad name!

:(((((((( I would not recommend this place to anyone. ZERO professionalism. ZERO privacy. They just make you stand in the lobby with your dog. they told a woman next to me about putting her dog down and she sobbed, again, with ZERO privacy. They spoke to me about finances in front of everyone that were wildly all over the place. When I did make contact with the vet (female, idk her name) without even knowing my dogs name much less even examining him, she started talking about euthanasia, cancer, and leg amputations as the next step. THIS IS WITHOUT AN EXAM. I CANNOT EXPRESS TO YOU HOW UNCOMFORTABLE THIS MADE MY WOMAN, MYSELF, AND EVERYONE ELSE IN THE ROOM. This isn't even a real vet, it's a side shop on petsmart. Do your dog justice and go to a real vet! :((((((((((((((

We have taken our pets to Banfield in Orlando for years and loved all the vets and technicians and felt our dogs always received excellent care. Then we moved to Ocala last year and started taking our two senior dogs here and it's a totally different atmosphere. First off, the office is located in a plaza that has no place to take the animals outside to use the bathroom. The place is not very clean and the techs look miserable working there. This is the only Banfield in the entire Ocala area and we have to drive 45 mins for the appointments, so understandably they are always busy. However, every single time we have brought our dogs for their yearly comprehensive exams we have never left without spending $200 to $300 each time and this is with us paying for the highest monthly plan. Each time our dogs are scheduled for a dental cleaning we always receive a call stating our dogs lab work came back with issues and they wanted to do X-rays and additional tests which of course aren't covered by the plan. And each time NOTHING is ever found! They also tried to change the prescription diet that our previous Vet put our female dog on to another dog food that cost $15.00 more. When asked why we need to switch, the reason was it had " additional vitamins" for her. We told them no thanks. We are not renewing our membership and are going elsewhere. Very disappointed as we have always liked Banfield

I have used Banfield Pet Hospital in many states and was always impressed with the staff and doctors. I recently moved to Ocala, Fl. and made an appointment with Banfield for routine vaccinations. I was not impressed with the facility as it was dirty and the staff was very unfriendly. Our appointment was for 2:30 pm and at 3:10 pm when other people who came in after us were being taken care of, I decided to stand at the desk to cancel appointment. I had to wait to be acknowledged by someone. I cancelled appointment and also got phone number to cancel the pet insurance. The whole time we were there, not once did we see a doctor come out to speak with anyone. The only people who came out with dogs were techs. All the other facilities I have been to I have always been able to speak with the Vet. I do not recommend Banfield of Ocala. Banfield in Myrtle Beach and in Nashville are excellent.

I have been visiting from out of town for 6 months. My regular vet closed I had been going to when I come here. I went to another vet , Ocala Veterinarian clinic and it was an inconsistent nightmare. I am not fond of Petsmart but i came to Banfield and they have taken such good care of my boys while here. We saw the same Dr each visit and they always took great care of their issues and most of rhe time would call to check on your pet.
