Overpriced, poor quality, and inconvenient. Something that wasn’t supposed to take not more than a week took a whole month. The quality wasn’t the best. And now we find that the job and product was defective. Mold was not properly put on and now there’s sitting water between the old tub and the bath fitter. Absolutely disgusting. Run far.Service: Bathtub replacement

Expensive service high-end bathroom. Not just for the average home. All high end appliances high-end tub high-end price. I was told by the salesman the owner wants to be the next Amazon for bathroom's. Charge high get rich. My bath was quoted $13k( three walls , floor and curtain rod) and that's if you sign contract that day. Will cost more if you decide within 12 months. The 24 month plan is if you have excellent credit.

Good product, professional installers, horrible customer service. I'll summarize the chain of events that lead to this poor review. In-home sales consultant Terry Mank came to my home and we signed a contract to replace a shower stall. I paid a sizable deposit. At first, Mr. Mank was professional and friendly (more on that later). He explained that it would be some time before installation, mainly due to availability of the installers. Some weeks later, he called to tell me that due to the unique size of my shower, they could install the cabinet but that the door would not be available for another 30 days. I asked how we would use it in the meantime, and he said "with a shower curtain". I said no, that the main reason I went with Bath Fitters, even though the price was high, was to have everything finished in one day, and that a shower curtain was unsafe and unacceptable. We ended the call, and sometime later he called again to say he had worked it out and it would be done in a day as promised. Fine so far. An installation date was set. Later Mr. Mank called to tell me there had been a cancellation and that the shower could be installed approximately two weeks earlier than planned. I agreed to the new date, of course happy to be moved up on the schedule. I arranged to be available on that date and time. When the day arrived and no one was at the house, I called the main office to ask why the installers weren't there. I was told that there was a problem and it would be the next day. At this, I suggested that it would be helpful for the customer to have at least 24 hours notice of a schedule change, and ended the call. I then called Mr. Mank to tell him of the delay and also suggest to him that the customer be notified of any schedule changes. Shockingly, I did not get one word in before Mr. Mank began YELLING at me! The first thing he said was "if you don't like it, we'll move you back to your initial installation date". Wow! I tried to explain that I wasn't upset about the change, but was only suggesting he notify the customer, but NO, he wouldn't let me speak, and continued berating me until I hung up on him. I was in shock. After calming down, I called Bath Fitters customer service and explained what had just happened. The rep said that was not right, and someone would call me. I shortly got a call from a Mr. O'Gorman, who identified himself as an owner. I explained to him Mr. Mank's shocking and disrespectful behavior, and after listening and asking questions, Mr. O'Gorman began defending Mr. Mank! This was very surprising and baffling to me. I listened for a while and then asked him "do you really want to defend him?", at which point he said "no", and we ended the call. At this point, I would have cancelled the contract if I could have. The installers who came the next day were professional and friendly, and did an excellent job. I am very pleased with the product. Oh and finally, the installers didn't ask me to sign off on the work, so I assumed someone from the office would call me to arrange final payment. After checking my credit card account online, I was unhappily surprised to see that they had ALREADY charged my card for the balance WITHOUT MY APPROVAL! The process of working with this company has been a horrible, demeaning experience. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

The employee installing the unit did a very good job. We were told 6 weeks and it was 12. For that reason I probably won't recommend Bath FittersServices: Shower installation

The shower looks very nice, however it take 20 minutes to dry the shower after every use, for a 10 minutes shower, if I had been told that I had to this much work, I would have change my mind about this kind of remodeling.Service: Shower installation

Bad fitter came to my house the last week of June 2021 they kept putting me off and putting me off. I finally said they could put it in October 16, 2021. I am 70 years old and I believe they took advantage of my age. They overcharge me. I have had the bathroom With all brand new walls all marvel not plastic as they put in for half the money. They will not refund my money for the deposit. They’re over priced and shady. PS. Total cost for their project but then 14,000+. Ridiculous

Bath Fitter Ocala is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I would not recommend nor would I ever use them again. If I could, I would cancel my order with them and move on with someone else. However, due to contracts, I am locked in with them. The sales process is nice enough. You hear the pitch, you pick your products, and you're told that everything is quick and easy. They really emphasize quick and easy. It's supposed to be the hands-off, reliable way to improve your bath and shower. Great!Until, Bath Fitter stops communicating. Entirely.I was told it was a quick process -- just 2 to 4 weeks from the time the measurements were taken. Not bad, right? Exactly. That's why I went with Bath Fitter.I own a rental property that was in need of a tub and shower makeover. It had previously been painted and instead of re-painting I wanted to either 1. cover it with Bath Fitter or 2. replace the tub and tile altogether.Option 1 (Bath Fitter) was supposed to be under a month but at a higher cost. Option 2 (tub/shower remodel) would have taken approximately a month but was considerably cheaper.I chose Bath Fitter, not because it was cheaper, but because it was sold to me as quick, easy, and effortless. This appealed to me as I had a new tenant moving in and did not want to have to inconvenience her. Who wants to move into a new place and have a contractor there for weeks working on your bathtub? No one!Fast forward to 5 weeks after my measurements were taken. No calls. No scheduled date. No communication. No update. No installation. Nothing.I had to call Bath Fitter Ocala repeatedly to get someone on the phone. When I finally did, I was told by Jose that my products were backordered.Backordered? Why didn't anybody call me to tell me this?Jose told me that this "simply did not happen" and he had no explanation for the lack of communication. So, I asked, what is the ETA for the install? Any idea? I have a tenant who is (rightfully) upset that I told her just a few weeks, and now we are well over a month.Jose tells me he has no idea. And again that my chosen fixtures (as if it were my fault) were backordered. What really bothers me, more than anything, is the COMPLETE LACK of communication. No phone calls. No emails. Heck, even a text from the sales guy Terry would have been appreciated. Something to let me know that the process has been considerably delayed because of an order issue. You're a lot more understanding when communication is given priority and you are kept in the loop. It's not a big ask, by any means. It is common courtesy when someone takes your money that they keep you updated about what is going on.Today, I still do not have a tub. Customer service is apologetic now that I have called to find out that my order is back ordered. Had I never called, I would have never heard from them until -- well -- who knows?Take your money elsewhere. They will sell you on a process that is not as advertised.Services: Tile work replacement

Bathfitters replaced our tub/shower with a walk in shower. They did a wonderful job and we are very happy. They have replaced both of our shower/tub combos in our bathrooms over the years. We highly recommend them.Services: Shower installation

My shower was small and old. Bath Fitter solved the problems and in record time. The Installer Alex was an excellent craftsman with a grand vehicle sporting all the materials and tools needed. You won't believe how nice the shower feels and wonder why you waited so long?Service: Shower installation

If I could go back in time to October 2020, I would stop myself from purchasing from Bath Fitter of Ocala. Do yourself a favor, learn from my mistake, and think twice before purchasing from Bath Fitter. I own a rental home that had a peeling tub and shower wall. I was in the process of addressing additional cosmetic updates, like new paint, new doors, etc. so I figured it was time to give the tub and shower some love too. I wanted a quick option, as I had a tenant moving in in the beginning of November. After she moved in, I didn't want her to have to deal with contractors in and out of the house, working on the bathroom for days or even weeks. So, I asked Bath Fitter for a consultation. The sales guy, Terry, pitched the entire process as quick and easy. You buy today, we measure tomorrow, we get you on the schedule in a few weeks, and install takes just one day. Wow! Bath Fitter was the MORE EXPENSIVE option, but I went with them based on the speed, efficiency, and ease of install process. Again, I was looking out for the best interest of my tenant and speed was key. As it turns out, not only is Bath Fitter more expensive they took much longer than traditional remodel options. Not only that, their customer service is NON EXISTENT! Once my order time hit 5 weeks, I called several times to inquire what was taking so long. Finally, I spoke with Jose who said while the process normally takes 2 - 4 weeks, my order was still not in. Why? As it turns out, my bath fixtures were back ordered. Bath Fitter knew the items were back ordered but did not call and update me. Here I was telling my tenant "any day now" and in reality, there was no estimated time for install. Had I not called to inquire about the status of my install, I would have never know this because, again, Bath Fitter customer service is completely lacking and non-existent. Unfortunately, I cannot take my business elsewhere due to being in a contract. But, please, take my advice and do not take Bath Fitter's promise of being quick and easy at face value. Yes, they may install your tub/shower in one day but getting to that point is a total nightmare. Save yourself the energy and effort and hire a local contractor instead.

The work was done very well and in a timely manner and it looks great. But it is the wrong tub to small for me and it looks like I am stuck with it. No resolution was offered?

I rate the installer 10, he was very professional. My shower remodel looks great. Now as far as the sales agent and tech to get measurements, they were late for appointment with no phone call to let me know they were running behind. As far as scheduling I had to call them to find out why I hadn't been scheduled after waiting the time frame they told me to expect a call. Customer service on front-end needs improvement.
