BEWARE Pooping Santa!!! lol No really read on..... This is our second time staying here when traveling in Ocala. First time was better. 5 stars lastly year but this time, we are on the 3rd floor. It stinks really bad and it smells like they have tried to cover the odor with a sickening sweet candy or fruity odor. Luckily our room does not smell like the hall. When getting coffee this morning down in the lobby, we discovered a plastic poster on the bathroom door in the hall of Santa with his pants sitting on a toilet! Wow that's pretty gauche! We got a good chuckle but seriously!!??!??? I'll attach a photo so you can set your eyes on this poster! Most check in staff are watching movies loudly from lobby tv. Coffee here is better than what they had at Denny's. No room service available unless you stay for over a week. This was disappointing. Was woken up at 7:30 am by lawn people weed eating and a dog barking in an adjacent room. Bummer :(

Wonderful pet friendly hotel. Evacuated from homosassa/crystal river due to hurricane. Was able to keep myself, my mother, 5 cats & service dog safe.

I didn’t get the pleasure of staying here because they were sold out on doubles and that is what I needed but the staff here is AMAZING!!!!!! I was helped by Martia (hope I spelled it right) she went above and beyond to help us find another hotel and even booked it over the phone for us I never had that type of service from any hotel I ever stayed at. My family couldn’t stop complimenting her. The lobby was very clean and so was the restrooms I will recommend this place to anyone

My room was very clean and so was the lobby. The room was spacious with a nice kitchenette and sitting area with a lounge chair and footrest. They had quiet closing room doors so you didn't hear them slamming am/pm. The swimming pool impressed me also. I never use public pools but this pool was so clean and attractive and inviting that I will bring a swimsuit next time. I stayed a four hotels during my trip and this was the best one. It would be a pleasure to visit again.

Came in and asked if they had a room available. They did and quoted me $145. I had already looked on Expedia and their rate was $125. I showed front desk clerk and he said well book it with them and then check in. This makes no sense to me. Why would they just not offer me that rate. Instead Expedia probably got at least half of the rate. Hotel is in a lose, lose situation. If they just offer you the rate you can get elsewhere, they get to keep all the money ! Not good business practice in my opinion. Hotel was nice however.

Had an engagement I needed to attend, in this hotel was close to where I was at. The hotel is new; they do have EV chargers on site. Even though the hotel is right against I-75, it is quiet. The staff for the most part is friendly. The gym has what you should need to get a quick workout in. If you are looking for restaurants within walking distance, you are out of luck, that is unless you want to eat at Dennys.

We stayed here for 7 days. Pros are that the rooms are large and very comfortable beds. The suite has all the things you need for an extended stay, free laundry on site. However, no breakfast, coffee is not good, and the traffic noise was annoying. At check in, I asked specifically if the rooms facing 75 were going to be loud and the clerk stated we should be just fine. I was also charged the entire price of stay again when I was already pre paid through Expedia. They had no record of it and had to call down to desk 3 days later to check status once again and this time another front desk lady found the problem and addressed it. She was on top of it and gave us our credit back. Thank you to her! The previous girl did not follow through on addressing the issue. Some of the front desk staff could use some training on hospitality. The fire Alarm went off one evening as well and that situation was not handled correctly.Nice facility but staff could definitely use some more training. When visiting Ocala again I would not choose this establishment, unfortunate. The cleaning staff were friendly and very helpful to give us what we needed. Rooms were very clean and smelled nice. That was a plus.

I stayed for 8 weeks for business. Very clean rooms, nice kitchen area with everything you need to prepare and eat a meal. Ice machine is only on the 1st floor, a convenient "store" with food and drinks. The unheated pool and exercise room were clean. No breakfast, but a restaurant is next door. After being there for 5 weeks, the manager had an issue with the room not set up in my name (company paid). Located next to the interstate and a few fast food restaurants, but keep your doors locked.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and well run. Tammy and her staff were lovely and so welcoming. I was traveling alone for work and felt safe and well cared for. The room was spotless! I would highly recommend for price point and value. Absolutely the BEST, safest place to stay with pet!

Absolutely EXCEPTIONAL hotel experience. The manager, Tammy, is so incredibly kind and sweet. The hotel is super clean, the rooms are spacious and come equipped as if it's an apartment with a full fridge, stove, pans, & tupperware. In the lobby area there is a computer available as well as food and snacks for purchase. It was also right off the highway and nearby many food/gas locations so it was super convenient. We had rented out a hotel block for friends and family because we had our wedding in Ocala. Tammy allowed us to hold our rehearsal dinner out by the pool, but the hurricane forced us to find another place to hold it. I still really appreciated that she would help us and let us have it there, even if we had to relocate. When we got back to our room after the wedding, she upgraded our room to a suite, decorated the room with rose petals, gave us a beautiful card, champagne, and cute towel swans. It was such a beautiful gesture that we will never forget. It truly made our wedding night special.I find myself trying to find reasons to go to Ocala, just so I can stay at the Candlewood Suites. They have won multiple awards for cleanliness and for having an amazing hotel, and I quite agree with that.If you ever find yourself in Ocala, please stay at this Candlewood Suites. I know I'll find a way to come back.

First the positives. The room was clean and neat. Convenient location. We requested 2 beds and when we arrived it was one bed. Front desk said no 2 beds available to switch us. Okay, it's a busy weekend no big deal things happen. In the morning we couldn't get hot water in the sink at all. My shower was luke warm and kept getting cold. I kept turning it off and back on while I showered. The outdoor pool was ice cold and evidently not heated, no big deal, I didn't even mention this. Then in the morning I got a fraud report from my credit card. I am not directly accusing anyone from the hotel but it sure is a coincidence since I haven't used that card in 6 months and I booked directly with the hotel and gave my credit card numbers over the phone. I can deal with everything that happened. But the real kicker is that upon check out Tammy did not care at all about my experience with the wrong room and the cold shower. She also "guaranteed me" that no one from her staff would have taken my credit card number. Ok, I get you trust your staff but you "guarantee" it??? Tammy never once apologized for the wrong room or the cold shower. She just said "I'm sorry you feel that way." if Tammy would have done one thing, just one thing or offered a sincere apology, or tried to make things right I would have been happy. Tammy insisted that I did not book a 2 bed room because none were available for 2 weeks. I felt that she was calling me a liar. Well, the front desk was on the speakers on blue tooth in the car and my husband and I both heard a verbal confirmation for the 2 beds. My email said otherwise but I didn't read the email, I was driving! Tammy did not care one bit. Tammy refused to back down on anything. She could have removed my pet fee or given me some IHG points. Anything. I did not feel valued as a customer one bit. And this one night stay was over $240!!! I heard her quote someone $127 on the phone for a room while I was standing there. I guess the customer is not right at Candlewood Ocala! I would not recommend this hotel. They do not care if you are happy or not and do not try to make things right. Tammy had a very poor attitude and was very arrogant and condescending to me. I was very very disappointed in this experience and I am a loyal IHG customer. You may get lucky and have a good experience. The hotel itself was nice. But beware if you have any problems with your room: they do not care. They already have your money and don't care
