HORRIBLE SERVICE FROM THIS CREDIT UNION'S SILVER SPRINGS BLVD OCALA BRANCH. Waited well over a half an hour in line, clearly the location was way understaffed, only to have my husband be REFUSED to cash his VA disability check a day and a half early!!! Every other banking institution we have ever done business with, be it bank or credit union, has always allowed this, as well as Florida credit union in the past. Absolutely ridiculous!!! To allow your tellers to treat AMERICAN VETERANS WHO HAVE SERVED THEIR COUNTRY LIKE THIS!!!! Worst experience we've ever had!!! You will be reviewed and reported on EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA OUTLET IN CENTRAL FLORIDA FOR BOTH VETERANS AND CIVILIANS!!! We will make sure as many people as possible take their business elsewhere, since you dare inconvenience a disabled American Veteran. Shame on you Florida Credit Union!!! Shame on whom ever was working at your Silver Springs Blvd Branch on Monday October 30, 2023 at 6:30pm!! I did not catch her name, but shame on your business for allowing this to happen!!!

This branch is horrible worst experience I have ever had with Florida Credit Union. My family has been banking with Florida Credit Union for over 30 years. I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS BRANCH. My son took out a loan to purchase a vehicle from a private seller. They told us they would file his tag for him. All we needed to do was show proof of insurance. On June 29th we took in the proof of insurance. They scanned the paperwork and told us due to the upcoming holiday we would not receive the tag until July 10th. No problem we understood. We gave them weeks after the 10th to follow up. We were told for 2 weeks that we would receive the tag by the end if the week. On July 27th I we into the branch to see what the delay was with his tag. I was told that we needed to show proof of insurance. WRONG ANSWER BECAUSE WE PERSONALLY BROUGHT PROOF OF INSURANCE ON JUNE 29,2023. So I pick my son up from work and we personally take the proof of insurance in again for them to scan on July 27th. The following Monday he received an email saying that everything has been file and by the following Monday he should receive his tag. This goes on for another 2 weeks. So I go into the branch today to find out why after 2 MONTHS WE STILL DO NOT HAVE A TAG. I am tod that since we didn't bring the insurance in until the 9th of August is the reason we still have not received the tag. WRONG AGAIN CHECK THE CAMERA I WAS THE At 3:30 PM AND 4:15 PM TO BRING IN THE INSURANCE PAPERWORK ONCE AGAIN BECAUSE YOU GUYS DROPPED THE BALL AND DID NOT DO YOUR JOB. THEY HAVE THE WORSE MANAGEMENT AT THIS LOCATION. For 2 months he has not been able to drive his truck because we were LIED TO ABOUT YOU DOING THE TAG WORK BACK ON JUNE 29,2023. All the inconvenience we have been through because of YOUR INCOMPETENCE AND THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION WITH YOUR EMPLOYEES. AGAIN I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING TO THE BRANCH LOCATED AT 10 BAHIA AVENUE LANE OCALA FLORIDA. 2 MONTHS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR PLUS EVERYTIME WE WERE THERE WE WERE TOLD THAT THE MANAGER WAS NOT THERE. AND EVERY TIME I CALLED THE MANAGER QUAN FREEMAN IT WENT TO VOICEMAIL. PRETTY SURE IF I LEFT A MESSAGE IT WOULD NOT BE RETURNED FOR 2 MONTHS. Since her employees do not do their job she doesn't do her job either.

Friendly bank plus local. Only issue I've had is the length of time they held my deposit check before I could us it. Other wise I'm happy with them

Our experience opening our account was fantastic. Then yesterday... My husband got his check and it was after 6 so we went to the ATM to deposit it. It wouldn't accept the check? I got an amazing idea! I will deposit it through the app. You need permission to use that feature and it takes 2-3 days for approval? I call the customer service number and explain to see if they have a solution that doesn't involve taking time off of work and the lady we spoke to didn't really seem to care. She said the lobby to our branch opens at 8 am so, my husband decided he would just be a few minutes late to work. He arrived there at 8 am this morning to find out that tellers don't arrive until 9 am. Now he has to leave work early to ensure that he gets his check deposited this evening. Definitely need some work in the customer service and convenience department. That is completely ridiculous. Luckily direct deposit starts next payday and we won't deal with this again but, thought a warning should be put out there.

A’shanti is absolutely awesome! N a time of desperation I financed a vehicle I needed through a company that charged me 29% interest. A’shanti was able to get me refinanced with a 10% rate in 24 hours. Amazing person and amazing work ethic! I feel I owe her a great deal! Thank you very much A’shanti!

what a joke, i have 3 dealings with this my now bank, and i must say so far this has been the biggest mistake i have made in a while. i opened up my account online and it could not be finalized until talking with an intake person...........THAT TOOK 8 DAYS AND 3 MESSAGES.....what was i thinking in they would have my back??the second time i called after receiving a letter that my account had been closed..( i did not fill out more paperwork ) which i had no idea was coming, so i was not watching out for it, and the lady on the phone helped me re-open......... TODAY 5-12 ......... i brought a certifed check in from a local competing credit union that has now become to far away after moving to deal with in person... A CERTIFED CHECK!!!! what the hell does this mean to FCU? THAT ITS A REAL CHECK? thats kind of obvious !!!! or perhaps that the funds (ie, CERTIFIED) DO EXIST................so now i was told i must have to wait for 7 days for funds to clear............................ in my OPINION, i would suggest anybody looking for a new bank to keep looking........ this place is terrible
