I rented a car through Enterprise on line for two days. Paid for the rental on line. Decided best be cautious and get additional insurance. That evidently was through a different company. When went to pick up the car, turned out to be Hertz rental location. Kim was very helpful. Now I'm a seventy two year old retired man. As many elderly I live on a fixed income. Kim informed me I would have to use a credit card to deposit $200 until returned the car. When ran my card it said denied because my online bank account was a debit card. Would need deposit $500. Did some quick math and since this doctor visit and person meeting next day was important. I would just barely have enough cash to make it work. When card ready to run, it showed $500 as approved. My bank notified me $575 was withdrawn. Showed Kim and she called corporate. No help. I called my bank. They said pending, can't do anything. The car was great. Woke up next morning and saw the $75 was back on my card. Now can eat and meet next day. Doctor diagnosed me with lung cancer. Had my meeting and returned the car on time. Kim told me she released the $500 and should be on my card soon. Almost twenty four hours later nothing. Called bank, again pending. Called Hertz corporate. Several people later was told they assigned a case number to it and I should call Kim as soon as I hung up to give her the number. Called at 11:30 am on a Friday. Let phone ring 30 minutes. Then checked internet. They closed. Seemed to me that the company was trying to blame Kim for the hold up on my funds. The employee was following company rules. If any company can take your money immediately, then they should be able to return it just as fast. And no blaming the bank, I know for a fact that my Bank puts it in my account as soon as the pending is cleared!

No real office rental place in OCala for Hertz. Had to return car at GNV airport. Hoping hertz will open office in Ocala again.

This location is closed, but there is no communication sent out to the customers who have rental pickups here. Expected better from Hertz.
Addition: If you strive to improve, then transfer my reservation to a Hertz location where I can get a cargo van. Where am I supposed to get a cargo van from in less han 2 weeks now?

HORRIBLE drop off process. Employee so nasty!! after I left the car keys vehicle still hasn’t been checked in!! Substandard older vehicle with a tire leak !! Rented vehicle due to mine in for repair
Chevy dealer should think twice before sending their customer’s to Hertz!!
I’d give the place a zero star for customer service !! Nasty and obnoxious 5 stars !! Thank goodness for credit card payment protection !!

The blue Nissan Rogue, gas powered, was rented. Round trip was about 650 miles, the tire pressure light came on a few times but went off. Otherwise, we had no problems renting or with the vehicle.

Rented a midsize suv online form the Ocala location on August 6th. When I arrived the car wasn't ready yet and after waiting about 30 min they said that there were maintenance issues with the vehicle but will put me in a different one. The employee went to grad the car but then I was told that it also needed to be cleaned first. After roughly another 30-45 minutes the car was ready. Looked the car over and when I got in the car it reeked of week and cigarettes. Now I know I should have told them that it was unacceptable but being their for over and hour and extremely frustrated at that point it decided to just leave and open the windows to hopefully clear the smoke smell out. After noticing the smell wasn't gonna clear out I called them and explained the situation and that we were on a time crunch to get to daytona. They didn't offer to swap vehicles but instead told me to just swap the vehicle at the daytona airport. Found out from the daytona location that they never charged the previous customer for smoking in the car. Ended up getting a Nissan rogue but still had to leave the airport to fill the vehicle up or they would have changed me $10.99 per gallon. Last time I go through hertz for a rental.

This place helped to "save our vacation" after our 2017 Nissan broke down on I-75 north of Ocala on 6-8-24 in 100-degree weather. They gave us no hassle at all... Quick check in and check out with no reservation/ emergency situation. We rented the last car available near noon on a Saturday. They close at noon on Saturdays. The Chevy Traverse provided to us was great for a 1200 mile trip across 3 states and back. The car proved perfect for mountain driving near Brevard, NC. We had a lot of supplies with us for feeding an 11-person family reunion at a five bedroom mountain cabin.
