Called and asked a simple question and was placed on hold for so long that it rang to a voicemail, then hung up on me. I called and inquired again for the same thing to happen. Seeing the reviews about customer service here, I’m not at all surprised. This is why people choose Amazon.

I'm from Ocala and have grown up here familiar with most all of the local businesses and shops. I fabricate and weld different projects often. My go-to local nut and bolt supplier has almost everything, but sometimes there is a special item they don't stock. When I need something they dont have, I check the Ace Hardware. Unfortunately, Ace closes at 5 and this store closes at 6. I find myself in here on occasion looking for a special nut, bolt, or screw. I can tell you that I have never, ever had a positive experience. The male employees are not very helpful, but they are friendly. The older female behind the front counter, who I assume might be an owner or manager after all these years, is down right nasty. Her attitude is bitter, extremely rude, and disgusting. I'm not sure why - perhaps it's because they dont get much business to begin with, or because they see me as a young kid (I'm 22). Very disappointing. As others have reviewed, this is not an isolated occurrence.

This is my local hardware store and my boyfriend and I love the service, the employees are so friendly and helpful! The prices are great and the selection of items they carry is great!!!!

I try to support smaller stores, and I consistently get great help from the older gentlemen working here. However, the elderly lady working the checkout this morning was about as unfriendly as it gets. Shopping here is a choice I make. Choosing to shop where I’m treated poorly is a self-inflicted wound I won’t repeat.

I've been coming here for years. The employees are always willing to help me find whatever I'm looking for. They will also refill your propane tank for your gas grill.

This is my go-to hardware store. The staff will go above and beyond to help you. They have tons of nuts, bolts, screws and other hardware. They have paint. They cut keys too. This place always has what I need. I look forward to shopping here.

Hey Mary, fix the attitude problem. I too prefer to support local businesses. While they do not have everything, I always try them first. Before Lowes etc. The male employees in there are always friendly and helpful, but Mary, the elderly white haired woman behind the register, has a nasty attitude. This is about the 3rd time I’ve experienced this. I don’t care if she’s the owner. Drop the nasty attitude. Be friendly. Be helpful. At least act like you appreciate your customers. Even if it’s a lie. Fake it. Other people have experienced this as well, but most don’t take the time to call her out. I will. Every time.

I like going to this store and supporting local business. It is also convenient when trying to pick something up quick, since you are not traversing an entire warehouse trying to find an item. There is always someone there asking if they can help you find something. And they also rent small equipment. All in all it is an enjoyable experience
