Firsf off I've traveled and lived in different parts of the country and have traveled to a couple of areas in Mexico. I've tried Mexican food in the many areas I've visited. La Hacienda has some of the very best Mexican food I've had the pleasure of tasting. Their chips and three types of complementary salsa is freshly made and delicious. We've never been disappointed by a meal here either. If you like salsa that's a little spicy and very flavorful you have to try their Cilantro salsa (cilantro, sour cream and serrano peppers). The Mega burrito is one of our favorites and honestly big enough for two to share. Ocala really has a gem here. The prices are also very good considering the economy.

The food quality here is very authentic top-notch. Not your regular chain type restaurant. The service is always abundant as they have many waitresses and servers on staff. The ambiance is super cool and authentic oftentimes having mariachi bands come in and play not to mention the cool. Supermarket they have attached to the restaurant.

Service was spot on. She was busy but kept us very happy. The decor is authentic to the setting. Simple traditional Mexican ambience. Now let's get to the real deal: THE FOOD! Massive plates. He got the steak chimichanga could barely finish half. I got the mixed steak, chicken, and shrimp fajitas. I have enough to feed me 2 more meals later on. The flavor was great and you CANNOT best these prices. All entrees (even at dinner) are about $8-17 Cerveza prices are stellar as well. My Modelo was less than five bucks. Mixed fajitas plate was $14. I drive through this area a lot while traveling. I will definitely stopping in.

Great authentic Mexican food! Very well priced $8-12 for a good plate. We dropped by because I was craving Mexican and saw the billboard from I-75. Awesome fresh chips and salsa!!! The server was very helpful telling us about the specials and what she recommended. Lots of bright flags and fun Mexican decor all around. They have a bell by the door to ring if you can in because of the billboard too!

Pozole was too watery and not the best I have had. Tacos are big and taste good. Service was ok. They charge you for the second basket of chips. Bathroom is smelly and always busy.

Amazing and fresh food daily!! They have a market connected to the restaurant so you can get fresh and Hispanic treats while waiting for food!!

Food is still affordable here, but is hit and miss. First time we ordered chicken tacos- too much meat that was tough and flavorless. Second time we ordered the steak fajitas- meat was again tough and seemed to be unwanted scraps (not really steaks). We love the chips and salsa though. Seems to be freshly made. Service is expected, nothing special but not bad. Unsure would come back which is too bad since our favorite laundromat is just next door.

Extremely busy for weekday lunch, but the best lunch special prices I have seen in a while. If you are traveling on 75 this is a great place to stop. The food was good, and the customer service was attentive.

¡Increíble! Food is always delicious, especially the tacos! Super friendly staff and great vibes keep me coming back. The market that’s attached to the restaurant is also extremely cool, and has tons of stuff you can’t find anywhere else!

As their motto says, it's the real deal. Delicious food, great service, good people. If you like real Mexican food, this is the place. We will be back.

This place is the best Mexican I've ever had, I've had a couple things, anything with steak and cheese are heavenly, order a queso for the table. So good, can't wait to go back!

My favorite restaurant in Ocala. The food is always great and the service is always friendly and almost always great. (They are always busy but only on rare occasion the food comes out slow). My personal favorites are the carnitas plate and the steak and chipotle. The latter is a little spicy but delicious and the former is always great. The portions are more than a meal. Do not expect a hamburger based taco, enchilada, etc., as they do not serve that kind of Tex-mex. They have great tacos, but taco Tuesdays ($1.00 tacos) are too busy for my lunch hour. Awesome restaurant with nice casual atmosphere.

I was a GREAT fan of La Hacienda. I would eat there at least once a week. The food was excellent! I found out that the establishment was sold and decided that I didn't want to go back, however, last week I went back and the food was horrible! The service was terrible! Not to mention that the new owner was eating at the next table and I was complaining about the food and all he did was call the server over to find out what I was complaining about and he said to her "too bad". I would never go back and I tell everyone that likes Mexican food that this is a terrible place to eat! Even the atmosphere is not good! Take your money elsewhere!

I just want all the Barbacoa! Cheap, fast, and good! What more could you ask for? I hit this place up for lunch and was a little concerned about time because it was packed, but the service did not disappoint. This is definitely going on my go-to list...
