I am so surprised at how much I enjoyed my one night passing through! You can tell housekeeping puts forth the effort. The hotel had a pleasant smell and a warm cozy feel to it. The king size bed was plush with plenty of down pillows. They give you mini dove soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Not the awful soap that dries you and leaves a film with a weird smell. I definitely would have paid more than I did. The front desk clerk was a really nice guy that did great picking out my room. Management you’ve done good. Really the doves are a relief. If you didn’t enjoy this hotel take the broom out your butt. It isn’t 5 stars but it checked all the boxes plus some. 100% pick this hotel in the price range.

My partner and I are super easy going, we don't complain about much, if were not happy, its BAD. We stayed at a LA Quinta in south Carolina on our drive down to Florida the day before, and although not amazing, I was super impressed that for $70 it was very clean and new. I gave them 5 stars. We booked this la quinta thinking it would be the same, so we booked it for $100. As soon as we walked in the smell of febreez and mold was overwhelming. It was clear they were trying to hide one with the other. I'm not spending my time in the lobby though, so I said who cares about the peeling walpaper, water stains and smell, and checked in. We opened our door and my partner started gagging, it smelled like 1,000 wet towels left on the floor for a decade, just mildew so strong it burned your eyes. I couldn't believe how different this hotel was compared to yesterday, from the 80s lamps covered in dust and stains, dripping rusty bathroom, to the dirty stained rock hard bed, to the garbage left in various open places around the room when we arrived. I'd like to stay in a LA Quinta on the way back, but with one experience so positive and one so negative I don't know what I'm in for if I try again.

The hall carpets need to be cleaned and some sections replaced. The room was pretty worn, laminate peeling off the bottom of the bureau, cracked toilet bowl, slow tub drain, silver backing on the mirror water damaged. On the plus side, the lobby and my room were absolutely clean. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. La Quinta needs to show this location a little love because the staff are putting their hearts into it.

I have never experienced such an aggressive, belligerent and blasé attitude from a hospitality employee as I received from Nicole at the front desk (Sunday, 11/26 ~9AM). Her demeanor, attitude, body language and responses to my polite and straightforward requests were wholly uncalled for. First I asked to see some packaging from some of the breakfast foods due to us having food allergies. You'd think I asked her for access to a CIA Top Secret file plus her social security number and both her kidneys; she refused. I then asked for a discount on my rooms (I had documented upon arrival the previous evening, with a different agent at the front desk, that the two showers in my two rooms were dirty - one with hair, the other with blood [having young kids and it being late we didn't want to move to other rooms]. The night front desk agent said she'd leave a note for management re: us documenting the state of uncleanliness and our request for a discount), which set her off to a whole new level. We also thought it odd a hotel charging the rate they were charging would be more modernized/aesthetic (we thought wrong), e.g. locks on the bathroom doors (there weren't any). Lastly, they didn't even give me my points for the stay (even though I booked directly with them and provided my account info). I certainly won't be staying at this property again and will avoid La Quintas, too.

We want to thank the front desk manager on duty this evening for cancelling our reservation today without a cost. We were traveling from Dallas to Central Florida with an overnight in Ocala. Unfortunately we had car trouble on the west side of Tallahassee, which cannot be fixed unto after Thanksgiving. We have stayed at the Ocala LaQuinta before and it is an older but comfortable facility. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Tonight’s manager just reinforced for us why we love staying here. Our dogs are always welcome. We just regret we will not be able to stay there. We have ended up in a motel near where our car was towed, and the charge for our dogs is $75. And a room at the last minute was twice that amount. We will be here for at least two days with no transportation. Most of all the excellent customer service.

Great location and service. 6 story building with pool and Jacuzzi. Rooms have fridges, coffee makers, desks for work, and a couch. Wonderful room layout and building design with plenty of extra power outlets for devices. Breakfast is free with some hot food options but closes a little early. They should extend it to 10 am for those of us who eat after we swim and/or workout in the morning. The front desk attendant that night was quite snobby, and gave off a wallet profiling attitude when I asked how much a room for the night was. I understand that it was late and I was dressed comfortably because it was a long trip but I could have turned in enough Wyndham points to stay there a week as I travel a lot and regularly look for La Quinta hotels. It was very surprising as I've never encountered that kind of attitude from a Wyndham employee before. After paying for the room her attitude completely changed but this almost caused me to go stay at the Hilton next door. Other than that the morning staff was wonderful, polite, friendly, and very helpful.Noteworthy details: Parking here is tight but it's safe and there are plenty of secured entry points conveniently placed for wherever you find.

Staff was friendly. Room was adequate. Bed was comfortable. . However, the smoke free room had a bad smoking odor, toilet tank lid was broken in several pieces and merely held together with tape, and carpet was stained. Bought room deodorizer and spray disinfectant to kill the odor. Breakfast was adequate. Not worth the rate charged.Nearby activities: Loads of restaurants nearby.

This LaQuinta is old and tired. It needs to be renovated. Paint peeling off doors and baseboards, toilet didn't work, and parking lot noise woke us up several times. We were not use to this from a LaQuinta. We recommend finding something newer.

Very unsanitary. Mold spores on popcorn ceiling. Air vent covered with buildup disgusting matter. Paint chipping on doors. Place is filthy. I will never stay in a Wyndham hotel again.Rooms: Ventilation poor at best. Vent in bathroom covered with caked on crud. Mold spores on ceiling above bed. Owner will not give a refund because I didn’t tell them the night I arrived about the condition of the room. I went straight to bed and saw the issues in the am and them told the clerk. I was told someone would contact me within 48 hrs. It didn’t happen until I posted the negative comments. Do not stay there.

This hotel was AWFUL!! First of all, when you use Windham Rewards points towards your stay, there is an automatic $100 PER NIGHT incidentals fee!! To add insult to injury, the rooms were very outdated...by this point most hotels have done some remodeling and renovating, but not this one! As for pets, I get it because I'm a pet owner, and out of choice or necessity, you have to travel with them. However, when the hotel lobby and rooms smell like pets, and the carpeting is stained, that's a problem!! Microtel is a much cleaner and nicer Windham property!! This was my FIRST and LAST stay at LaQuenta-Ocala, Fl.Even if you have to pay more for your stay, the extra money will be well worth it!!
