Had my 2 cows processed here at Modern Heritage. I am very pleased with the care of the cows before processing and the cleanliness of the facility. I am very happy with the meat and the packaging. I highly recommend them.

I run a pasture-to-plate beef shop north of Ocala, and we've had well over ten animals processed & USDA-inspected at Modern Heritage. Each time, I am impressed by their attention to detail all the way from the cutting (great butchers) to the packaging and labeling. I've also been behind the scenes a tad and was impressed by the kind way they treat the animals before harvest.
Modern Heritage is a great business, as are the people who operate it.

Hands down the best Meat processing company we have ever dealt with. We were allowed to tour the facility with no advanced notice. Their facility is top notch and I would dare you to find a cleaner operation anywhere the country. Honest, hardworking, polite, and professional are just a couple ways I can think to describe this family owned business. This was the first time dealing with a meat processor that gave me back more meat than expected. Everything was vaccum sealed and labeled.They have earned the business of myself and anyone that I can recommend to them.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with the kindness, help, instruction that this team had! It did take a lil longer than we expected to get our meat back but it was well worth the wait! Our meat was packaged perfectly, the cuts are beautiful and we would definitely recommend modern heritage to our friends and family! You pay for what you get!!!!

Our fair sent several steers and pigs to Modern Heritage for the first time. The facility was spotless and sanitized. I personally had a steer go and the meat cuts and the packaging was excellent. The breakfast sausage was the best I ever had made. I look forward to working with them in the future.
You need to check them out and tour their facility, you won't be disappointed.

I’ve been purchasing Modern Heritage’s ground dog food blend for awhile now, for my Pugs and their health and skin has improved so much!! Modern Heritage communities well and I love that I can support a local business!! Definitely look into their dog food if you’re looking for a healthier alternative for your dogs, I am so glad that I did 😊

10/10 recommend!! We had 3 Berkshire pigs processed USDA. The entire process start to finish was wonderful. Customer service is on point at every level and they ensure you get your animals back. I can't say enough great things about the owner and the employees. The packaging is exactly how we wanted it and perfectly done. Not one seal broken, all in perfect condition. They also put our logo on every package, which also looks fantastic. We can not wait to bring more of our Berkshire pigs to you for processing.

Travis and the staff are very helpful. I was unhappy with my previous butcher and as a result I was very skeptical when trying to find another one. Travis was very patient and answered my questions and assured me I would be happy with the result. He explained what they did as a meat processing business and ultimately I took two pigs to be processed. At that time, the owner explained to me that they let the animals settle down and relax before proceeding which pleases me. After a couple of days I went back for pick up and I was so pleased as they bring the meat out and pack it right in front of you so you can see the meat. Not only that, they inventory the meat and it’s all vacuum packed and labeled with weight! I opted for boxes for the transport home and I can say the boxes are nice and thick and handle the weight of the meat well. The overall cost for this service was less expensive than my original butcher and the end result amd service was a much higher quality!!! I am definitely going back- don’t let the appearance of the outside building deter you as there are some RV etc at the facility - they use them for their personal offices etc - if you have a need for a meat processor - definitely take your livestock here! You will not be disappointed.

This was our first time taking our animal to Modern Heritage, we were very pleased. The staff was professional and friendly as well as knowledgeable and helpful. We smoked our ham and ham steaks, they are perfect. We had bacon cured and smoked, it was hands down superior in every way to other processors we've tried. We will be back next fall with our cattle and more swine. They took as much care in processing our animals as we took in raising them, much appreciated!

This place does good work. The folks here have been a pleasure to work with and I really like the way they cut and package the meat. I’ve taken 3 hogs to them so far and been more than happy every time. I’ll definitely be using them in the future too.

We brought in two lambs and they did an AWESOME job. We drove over 2 and a half hours to get our lambs processed and would happily do it again because of the quality work we received. We loved that they vacuum packed the meat. We were a bit nervous bringing our animals in based off the first impression of the location but after speaking with the owner and getting our meat back we had absolutely nothing to worry about. Overall I would definitely recommend this place!!
