Update: they are refusing to pay damages. DO NOT CONSIDER consigning or buying it will be your worst mistake. Optimum was going to sell our unit for us. We were supposed to get a detailed report on our RV and we never did. After Helene we tried to contact them to see if our RV sustained any damages from the storm. Crickets. We then said we were don’t and coming to get our RV early to try another dealership due to lack of communication and holding up their end of the deal. When my husband arrived he found that the flooring had been damaged when a salesman had thrown the stair pin on the floor and closed the slide in on it. UPDATE 11/13/24: The general manager is refusing to pay the damages stating it’s part of the contract and that he was never made aware of the incident by the manager that checked us out that day. Very unprofessional. Huge disconnect and lack of communication.
They still charged us $1500 to get out of our contract and our currently giving us the run around on the repair costs that are at an estimated $7500 from General RV. Our RV goes in tomorrow for the repairs and still haven’t heard how Optimum plans to pay for the damages they caused to our RV. So furious. We do not recommend trusting them at all.

I recently brought my RV in for some minor warranty work. Brittany my service advisor met me at the drop off point and we went over what needed to be done. She followed through and made sure the parts were ordered and properly installed. When I told her my tire pressure was low she went as far as to bring a compressor out and air them up. She is an amazing service advisor that really cares about her customers.

Logan our sales man was honest and wonderful. We were conversing for two weeks and when my husband and I finally showed up he took us to a RV that we ended up taking home after looking for a few hours around their lot. This shows me that he listened to our needs and found us the perfect match.
Brenda in finance was smooth and swift with.
Ryan was very helpful and tied up all of out loose end to get us out the door and on the road.
The whole staff at Optimum was very pleasant and helpful around everything on our adventure of purchasing or rv.
Thank you Optimum of Ocala for allowing us to enjoy our purchase through the process. We will definitely be back when we are ready to upgrade.

I had an excellent experience at Optimum RV. My salesperson was Kim, who was very open and honest as well as communicative. The first time I visited I fell in love with an RV which was sold as I was looking at it. Kim ensured that I was not forgotten and contracted me a month later with another RV in mind for me, which I ended up purchasing. Overall great customer service who got me exactly what I wanted!

Possibly the worst customer service Ocala has to offer. I strongly advise against doing business with this company at all costs.

Beware of this dealership! They lost our title, keys and license plate! Broke our awning and left back stabilizer.
We left our RV with this dealership on consignment for them to sell. As soon as we dropped it off the communication stopped and the consignment manager never returned our calls. When we decided to end the consignment after 4 months, we were told they needed a week to prepare it for pickup. We showed up to pick it up and quickly realized we were missing things and the rv had been broken. After waiting an hour to speak with a manager they found the license plate but could not find the title or the extra set of keys. They also produced paperwork (that we had never seen) stating that the awning was misaligned and that the right stabilizer was broken (faulty because the left stabilizer was the broken one and the consignment manager had called us telling us everything looked great the day after we dropped it off) interesting how this paperwork showed up an hour after we pointed out the damage and we had never seen it before.
Anyways, they did replace our title, however we are still owed our extra set of keys ($600 value to replace)
Wish we had never brought our rv to these people. What a headache.

In July we went to optimum rv, we explained we could not 100% commit to any camper until August 1st due to circumstances with my husbands job. The salesman went to talk to someone in finance to see if they could do anything so it does not sell before we are able to give a definite answer. A finance manager gave me a bunch of paperwork to fill out and sign and I kept saying “we won’t know for sure until august 1st”. They said “we put it in your file that the sale is contingent and to have an answer August 1st. “Possession is 9/10 of the law. It’s a you owe we owe thing”, as we also had trade items involved. In the 2 weeks that we were waiting for August 1st, I had got multiple things in the mail from the finance company stating that they had actually already financed the unit for us. I called the salesman we worked with every day for a week and a half with no calls back before finally getting an answer from another salesman. Again, was told it’s contingent so don’t worry about it. A couple days later I got a call from the service department saying they would need to cancel our pick up date, due to the refrigerator not working. I explained to them that there was no arranged pick up date as I will not know if we are purchasing the unit until august 1st. This happened not only once but twice. Between August 1st and September 1st, I called the service department numerous of times checking on the status of the refrigerator, if I was lucky enough to have someone answer my call or call me back I was told it wasn’t repaired yet and they are waiting on a part from the manufacturer. After 4 weeks of waiting I received a call from the finance department telling me my first payment was due that week and asking when we were going to pick it up. I asked if the refrigerator was fixed and he said he would find out and get back to me. I had to pay payments on a 5th wheel that I haven’t even picked up yet. I finally got an update and was told it was good to go. We picked the 5th wheel up on September 1st, during our walk through we explained the refrigerator issue with the employee and how it still didn’t seem to be fixed, as it was not cold in the inside. He said that might be because it hasn’t been plugged in very long. The next day I called to let them know it still wasn’t working. 2 months after pick up and more than 30 calls to the service department and going there to speak to a manager to get a resolution, they finally had a 3rd party appliance repair man come out. I had to tell them more than 3 times what kind of refrigerator we have (even though they should have that info since they already replaced parts and “fixed it”). Apparently the in house service department cannot work on the residential refrigerator that is in our 5th wheel. How can that be if they have already fixed it? The 3rd party repair man inspected it and explained, “This is a fire hazard, you are lucky this hasn’t caught on fire, we need to unplug it right away”. After we unplugged it, he opened up the door panel and it is infested with roaches that have clearly been there for several years. If they repaired it to begin with wouldn’t they have noticed the infestation and cleaned it? After explaining the run around we have had to the repair man he told us that it is clear that no one has opened up the inside of the refrigerator to repair it at all. They have been well aware that we are living in it full time, and we do not have a working refrigerator, luckily we do have a small mini fridge to get us by but this is getting ridiculous. I spoke with the service department after the repair man left and all Managers are in a meeting and they do not have a solution right now. I tried to call 3 days after and all managers were in a meeting. It’s been 1 week since the repair man was here and there has been no call back or any explanation of what the next step is.
