I was reading the reviews to see if I’m the only one having issues. It seems like after an ownership change that the competency and reliability of this place has gone down hill and this is very true. A while back I had a 1999 Corolla serviced and while they did replace the radiator, they then couldn’t figure out how to fix the censor that would prevent my car from overheating and I had to have my friend end up fixing it. No biggie because they got the radiator so I was okay. Now I have my girl take her car there for repairs and well it’s been awful. From not knowing what they’re doing to then causing my transmission to leak, I honestly don’t know why this happened. I told them I had issues with my vehicle as all my car lights turned on from the dashboard and it caused my wheel to lock on I75. They said it was the alternator so they replaced it and sent me on my way. Then come to find out it happens again while I’m driving to leesburg. Thank god he’s watching over me because those two incidents could’ve resulted in my life. I take the car back and they’re unable to find out what’s wrong and then proceed to show me how they need to search up information on their forum because they seem to have no clue of what they’re doing. I try not to be an A-Hole but how are they unable to find an issue in something that can literally cause me to crash and lose my life. Not even a month later, my battery gets drained dry so now I take it back for them to look at it. Yet again, they have an inability to see what’s wrong with the car. I’m not sure if these guys are mechanics or just dudes that are looking for a job title. A close friend goes to check the car out and sees that they left a part of the transmission loose which was causing the transmission to leak. So they literally messed up my transmission and implied that I should go to another place to get it fixed because they don’t work on transmission but they filled it up because it was low, per the mechanics words. Also if you go onto their services online it says transmission so they should definitely update that because they clearly don’t. Essentially they are unable to find any issues in the car even though it’s been persistent. I have no option but to continue taking it back to them because I can’t afford to spend anywhere else and it’s under warranty so I let them take care of it. It’s honestly frustrating knowing these mechanics have no clue what they’re doing because it’s their job. I hope they give me the same smart responses they do to everyone else because they always seem to have an answer for everyone but when I ask them what’s wrong with my car they have no idea. He said he has a system that’s able to read back whenever something goes wrong with the car, biggest lie I’ve ever heard. I have to now pay for a horrid job. They should just be disappointed in themselves.

I had my son take his truck in for a Diag. Paid $150 for the Diag service and was told the truck had the wrong fuel injectors installed on it. I had just driven this truck to Florida from TN 2 weeks before without any drive ability concern. All that was wrong was the mass airflow sensor was bad. You miss diagnosed the concern charged me for wrong information and refused to even repair it because your mechanic is not up to par. I should at least get a sorry my bad. I paid for someone else to install new injectors because of your Diag. I am $1000 in the hole because your mechanic does not do proper Diag work.
I am an ASE certified master mechanic and I rebuilt this engine and replaced every safety item brakes, ball joints, tires, wheel bearings so that my son would have a reliable vehicle. Being that I am 800 miles away in TN I was hoping that I could find a reliable shop for my son if he were to have any issues. Money is not an issue for me, It's the fact that you refused to do the work you diagnosed but charged me for it. I do not charge for diags if i am not willing to perform the task. The problem is my son was open and honest with you about everything that had been done to the truck so your mechanic was scared to many people had their hands on it so he did not want to touch it. This fact shows he is only a plug and play mechanic /parts changer. Bottom line is there was a leaf on the mass air flow sensor if he could read parameters on a scan tool and not just codes he would have found this simple to repair.
There was not any JB weld on an electrical connector. It was Ultra Grey RTV The locking tab was broken and the pig tail was not available from Ford. The vehicle was purchased at a low cost and was rebuilt at a budget friendly price. Being that I was footing the parts bill and Labor for my son. So yes it was not rebuilt as if it were going to be a show car. As I can tell from your response you do not care about future customers, or care about being a man and admitting you are wrong for charging someone for something that you are not willing to work on. Thank you for your time and God bless. I will pray for you because I can tell the truth hurts you. Yes I have been a Mechanic since 1992. I have over 30 years in the business and this was the first and last time I have ever paid anyone to work on anything for me. Lesson learned. I could have gotten a plane ticket and came down to repair the car for what you ended up costing me. Next time read the VIN of the ECM motor and ECM where out of an 2005 not a 2003. Fuel injectors were correct.

I visited Tuffy when my Coolant was leaking and was taken great care of by Trevor, mgr! He was able to get the part right away and fixed me up in just a couple hours! I would always go to Tuffy in Venice, so I knew I could trust them! Thanks Trevor and Fred! :-)

They would rather bad mouth your favorite mechanic, than admit their alignment tech is incompetent... p.s. if they're trying to tell you, you need work. Just tell them to change the oil or tire like you had asked already, and get it to your real technician.

I have taken my care to Tuffys for the last few years and didnt realize how much I appreciated them until I tried to save $50 on tires on Amazon and went with a suggested garage for an install on them. The garage I went to at Amazon's sugggestion because it was $25 per tire to install suggested I needed new front, rear brakes and brake system flush since the fluid is running black. I went to my trusted garage (Tuffys) and they showed me a visual of the break wear and provided a timeline for when I should expect them to be changed, they also said the brake fluid is running clear. On multiple occasions they have made suggestions and/or recommendations that maintenance is going to need to be done, but not today. I appreciate their honesty and I am a customer for life after today.

I took my car to this place on 3 separate occasions and every time I picked it up there was something else wrong with it.I had an alternator, a serpentine belt, and a new battery put in last summer for $1000 and not even 2 months later I brought it back to find out they installed the serpentine belt backwards and also put in a faulty alternator. They fixed that and now my car idles high and shakes over 55mph.I wish I never would of brought my car here.

Approx 2 months ago family friend took 2015 equinox for brake service. Rotors and pads replaced. On drive home noticed vibration in stearing wheel and driver's seat. Took back Balanced tires$$$. Drove home still had vibration. Took back. Found bad tire. Decided to put new tires $$$. Drove again same vibration. Took back told basically nothing they did caused issue after being charged over 2,00$$. Update: contacted Sue ,she said she would contact friend to see if they could work out the issues.
