“I love to take my nephew here and allow him to pick one item, it usually turns into two but it's more affordable than taking him to Wal-Mart for little toys and Mario themed goodies. I personally adore the regency era recreation sets they have going on right now, and usually get myself one item from The collection when I take him. 🫶”

“Miss Lisa is one of the best managers I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Her level of customer service is incomparable to any other store or manager I have encountered. She genuinely cares about helping customers and always puts them first. Experiences like this are hard to find, which is why I will continue returning to this Dollar General for my shopping needs. I strongly encourage others to visit this location as well.”

“A really large variety of collectibles for sale, some hard to get items. It is located inside the mall. There are plenty of free parking spaces. If you are a collector, I highly recommend stopping here.”
Dollar General opened its 20,000th U.S. store on February 24th in Alice, Texas. It’s a major milestone for the discount chain that started as one small general store back in 1955. Starting with a ribbon cutting ceremony, the grand opening celebration began at 9am. First customers received some freebies - tote bags filled with free product samples and snacks from DG's Clover Valley brand.
