Its natural beauty, friendly atmosphere, and accessibility make it a memorable destination for camping and outdoor activities.
I enjoyed the boardwalk and the owls as well as the multiple species of woodpeckers but the pileated woodpeckers were the first in my lifetime as well as the barred owls. Peaceful and quiet. The folks and staff are friendly and I wish for this place to remain a hideaway.

Visited Thanksgiving week. Cute campground, large spaces and good walking areas. Storm did destroy areas at the river which in time will be repaired, Folks think it's ok to let dogs poop and not pick it up ?stepped in and saw many piles along the river walk. * Maybe a few poop stations should be placed !
