The Oldsmar Public Library is truly a gem in the community! The Children’s area is bright, inviting, and filled with books and activities that keep kids engaged and excited about reading. They also have plenty of computers available for public use, which makes it convenient whether you need to get work done, do research, or just browse the internet.
I especially appreciate the meeting rooms—they’re clean, well-equipped, and perfect for group projects, study sessions, or community events. Above all, the librarians are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help. Whether it’s tracking down a specific resource, offering book recommendations, or assisting with technology, they make every visit enjoyable and productive.
This library goes above and beyond—it’s more than just books, it’s a real hub for learning and connection in Oldsmar. Highly recommend!

My teenage niece and nephew visited Thursday and tried to check out books at 5:50pm but the lady told them they were about to close so she could not register them. Per google, this library closes at 6 and it was 5:50pm when they tried checking out. I imagine checking them out would have taken about 5-7 minutes. It’s ridiculous that the unhelpful employee refused to help. My family and I will not be using this library anymore.

Overall this library is awesome! It is a great place to study! My only complaint is I wish the library staff would manage the kids properly. Whenever there are kids present in the library there’s a lot of commotion and noises (screaming, yelling, whining, etc.) very frustrating considering it’s a library and it’s supposed to be quiet.

Very nice library with wonderful staff. Quiet and clean. Used one of the rooms to meet with a financial broker.

High ceilings. Kind of Spanish architecture. Wood ceiling fans against a butter cream interior for the atrium, evocative of Marcel Duchamp's sculpture.

I'm torn, i love the building, the charm, the fans, the history, the quiet calm space....my kids like this library as well, and it has a goof enough selection. I also love they have some late night and Saturday hours. The downfall however is the staff, the children's staff are nice,.front desk staff are just not friendly and a bit impatient. If the front desk staff was friendlier I would give them 5 stars. I just dont know what is not to be happy about working in a quiet peaceful place?

Usually don’t have issues, just recently got a card and I love the selection. I had a question about returns and I just asked a couple of questions. The woman was short and snippy. I don’t know what kind of customer issues they deal with on a daily or if they’re having a bad day but their tones although soft just come off rude. I’m not incompetent, just new.

This is a very nice library with a great selection of books and organized in a very nice layout. The staff if helpful and friendly and the hours accommodating.

Seems like a nice library. I only come here occasionally to print something or photocopy when needed. The staff is helpful and it's usually not too busy. Plenty of parking and it's a nice space. Very easy access to get here too. Overall pleased and this is my go-to library despite having others closer to my home.

Ignoring the people knocking at the door selling you jesus nonsense is one thing but now they stand outside the library. Weird how church/state is supposed to be separate but it’s constantly shoved in our face. No one likes the old, moth ball smelling old people creeping at the corner with their scary literature.

Really like this library alot! It's just the perfect size and even though there are always people here it never seems full. Nice if you just want to do a little computer work and then just relax and hang out to read or people watch. Staff is always helpful and nice too. Parking is very easy here as well. Library is very clean and well kept. ? ? ?
