I was on my way to a department store adjacent to this location but a nice dress on display caught my eye so I decided to
go inside to get a closer look. When I went in, one of the associates was assisting another customer while the other one was at the register/counter - no one greeted me or offered to assist me but they greeted other customers that came in after me.I find this of putting - needless to say I will never go back. I feel that if a business wants to attract more customers, they need to train their employees to be more courteous and make their customers feel welcome and valued no matter what color they are.

Went to Cato today (4/12/2025) around 12:15 pm. Young lady working did not greet me, however she greeted other customers, never asked if I needed any assistance nor did she come to open the fitting room until another customer asked her if she could open the fitting room. I put the items back and left. I will never visit this store again. She let me know my business is not welcome there. If I could have given less than one star I would have.

02:27p 10/09/23. Just walked in and “both retail clerks” just looked stupid and said nothing. I guess this is how they operate at this location. (2nd time at this same location) Walked in and the older black salesclerk is talking her damn head off to the “white lady” making a purchase.. but offered me no assistance whatsoever. The smiles and fakery dropped, as soon as the lady left. Literally no one in the store, so no excuse. I won’t be visiting or patronizing this location anymore. I’ll stick to Dunn Avenue/ Lem Turner Store.. and yes, I’m black. You would think either one of them would say: “Can I help you with anything?? If I could give it zero stars, I would.
