Best Anytime location I've ever been to for multiple reasons. Did not interact with staff so no opinion there.

Beware!!!!! This facility is all about your money and don't care about your well being. The place is filthy and machines need to be maintained. I hurt my back to the point that I have had two doctors inform me not to participate in gym activities. I informed the gym and they said bring in a letter from your doctor and I did. They said that a letter from my chiropractor was not good enough so I had my chiropractor send ex Ray to my primary doctor and my primary doctor sent a letter to the gym and that wasn't good enough. They are now after my money with a collection agency. Stay away from this place. They will dig you up from your grave to get their money.

The anytime fitness in Ormond Beach has some of the best equipment in the area packed into a smaller space. Not all of it is brand new, but it is all top quality. A small group of dedicated lifters train here exclusively, because it is never crowded and easy to get your workout done. Cleanliness is impeccable. The ladies running this place do an outstanding job, and everyone is always smiling.Religious trainer here, have used all the local gyms. This one is by far my favorite. I’m leaving this review because I know they deserve it, but you don’t have to join on my account. I don’t want my secret getting out :-)

Been coming here since 2018 and the gym has always been clean and well kept, and the current staff of Abbey and Tonya have been working hard to keep this place a great place to work out!

Unprofessional and don't tell you about the contract that apparently says you can't cancel membership until a certain date or if you die.... terrible owner

Overall it’s a nice gym with quality employees. However, beware you cannot cancel your membership. There is a contract that you sign in order to get out of it you have to wait until it’s almost expired then get out of the contract. If you don’t your contract will automatically renew. Also I never got a copy of the contract I signed make sure you do. After my contract is up I will never again come back to this location and you should avoid it as well. Best of luck!

Misleading website. When you click on their website, it states in huge print, "Try Us For Free." It then asks for your information and lets you schedule a date and time at the specified location. When I arrived for my appointment, the manager who came to the door had a very serious (unwelcoming) look on her face. She told me that they don't offer free trials, although it's all over their website advertising. She claims that she contacted me to tell me. However, there was no message, call, or email from them, despite the fact that they had my correct information on the submitted form. Extremely unprofessional. Since I'd driven all the way there, I decided to take the tour. I had to sign a disclaimer just to look, even if I wasn't going to use the equipment. The manager seemed indifferent which I thought was strange. It left me with a very bad impression so I gave feedback on a form on their website. The next day, the area manager, Stephanie, responded. She claimed that it's stated in the website that they don't participate in free trials. Well, then they shouldn't schedule appointments at the Ormond Beach location in response to "Try It For Free" which pops up immediately on the website. Then she claimed that the manager called me. If Stephanie wasn't there at the time, then it's inappropriate to say that the manager called me because she has no idea. Lastly, she claimed that the manager was friendly and might have had a bad moment. Having a bad moment is no excuse to make people feel unwelcome when it is literally your job to sell memberships. In the end, I went to different club which did honor their advertising for free trials. They had much better equipment, classes and all of their staff was very welcoming when anyone entered or left their club. Now that's good gym with good customer service.

I have recently attempted to cancel my membership at this club. I have always opposed the "special fee" they assess on a regular basis, as I recall for "club improvement" (shouldn't that be part of the normal cost of a gym) and their recent assessment sent me over the edge. Their monthly fees and this special assessment makes them one of the most expensive clubs in town. I've was in the fitness industry for years and I'm reluctant to give credit cards for payment because of the horror stories I've witnessed with clubs charging members. So I pay a higher amount to go month-to-month but I don't have to worry about the club getting into my bank account or credit card. I finally relented a year or so ago and went ahead with providing a credit card, but the recent sale of the club and the neglect I've witnessed didn't make me feel it was worth the most expensive fees in town, plus the 24hr access really isn't a feature for me anymore, so I decided to cancel and move elsewhere. Keep in mind, when I joined the gym, I never received a copy of the contract, so I was unaware of what their cancellation policy was. I went into the gym FOUR different times during posted business hours over a 3 week period of time to cancel and no one was there. When I finally went when someone was there, it was some district manager from out of the area and she told me I needed to cancel in writing and they would be charging me two more months membership and I could continue to use the club. Since we were already within the first month I told her don't bother, I wont be coming in and I contacted my bank to block their attempt to charge my card for the second month. Just as the gentleman from South Carolina has noted in another YELP review, cancelling with these people is exactly the nightmare I tried to avoid. I caution anyone joining this gym to be wary of their costs, their upkeep of the club (four weeks to replace a shower head in the men's room) and their cancellation policy. They are now pursuing me via phone and mail for their final month payment and I was informed by the Customer Service person (overseas call center) today that my membership can't be cancelled until I pay the final amount. The track this club is on is one I've seen frequently........another club opens nearby (in this case the women's club just down the sidewalk) and pulls a big portion of their client base away (in this case females and moms with kids), club gets sold from the original caring owners to an out-of-town corporation and before long employees or trainers are leaving. Wouldn't surprise me to see them close up within the year.
