Walked up to the front door at 4:49 on a Wednesday afternoon. It may not have what I need but I have no way of knowing that because they already have the doors locked and we’re closed even though they don’t close until 5 o’clock. I used to have a lot of respect for Fastenal but it just all went away. The bad part is I drove a really long way out of the way to get here.

This is the first time I have ever been inside a Fastenal store and I will be going again. I needed help with a custom car project I am working on and wasn't sure how I could make this custom piece work. I went to some home improvement stores and none of their solutions seemed to work for what I was trying to achieve. Whenever I read on online forums (G35 forums) about specific/odd tools/hardware people need, they always seem to point in the same direction- Fastenal. So I decided to go in and explain to the salesman what I was trying to accomplish. He took a look at my car and I showed him my "vision". He then walked straight to the fastener section and pointed me out with an idea he came up with on how to make it work. I was trying to attach a custom bottom front lip to my car without screwing into my front bumper. This is a lot easier said than done. He showed me how I could use these particular odd fasteners in conjunction with some other stuff to make my front lip "clip" in without any damage to my car. This led to a very simple easy install (and easy to remove if desired) and it looks great!I was really surprised with all of the stuff they had. I walked in not knowing how I was going to make my project work, and I left eager to go home and try it out. I also realized I need some new wheel well fender clips and I will most certainly be going back to buy them. At Infiniti the clips are $1.50 a piece I believe, at Fastenal they are a fraction of the price and are made of a much better plastic. Thanks again for the help!
