I have this wonderful opportunity to take 200 hour teachers program here at Horizon House Yoga studio with Shelly Kwiatkouski. It has been an eye opening experience for me in regards to yoga as practice and philosophy. I’ve been practicing Yoga for almost 20 years but I never realized how much i did not know until I stepped my foot in this studio. The atmosphere, the settings are just charming, and the knowledge of the teacher, Shelly, is profound in every possible way. It is not only great yoga studio, to me, it is a healing place to be in.Ekaterina

I have been practicing yoga at this studio for over seven years. Because of yoga, I have recovered from multiple injuries, medical conditions and physical limitations. Shelly, the studio owner/manager, and all the instructors, are supportive and knowledgeable. I became a certified yoga instructor last year by taking the 200-hr Yoga Teachers Training (YTT) offered by the studio, and am now taking the more advanced 300-hr YTT to broaden and deepen my understanding. I believe that this is an incredible healing practice and I’m excited about helping others. This studio is innovative, welcoming and supportive and embraces all levels of practitioners.

Shelly is an amazing teacher! I thoroughly enjoy her yoga lessons, both private and group. I highly recommend Horizon House* Yoga for both beginner and advanced yogis! She also offers various special events (including, but not limited to) crystal bowl singing, meditation, a healing festival and other various yoga workshops. She introduced a relatively new class at the studio - Core Flow at 8:30am, followed by a yin class at 9:30am on Saturdays. She led me through my 200hrs Teachers Training, which was an unforgettable and enlightening experience.

The community is great, yet the owner is a deceptive narcissist. She takes advantage of people and has no remorse or accountability. The teacher training is substandard and more woo-woo than practical anatomy or real philosophy. Plenty of other yoga options in the area, avoid this place.

I thought it would be hot yoga I’m confused, they said they don’t offer any hot yoga only the individual infrared light. I’m sure it’s nice but I personally don’t want to be singled out. I thought I remembered doing hot yoga there maybe they stopped. I feel like the name is a little misleading maybe I just don’t get the meaning behind it. Just a warning for anyone thinking this is hot yoga where you sweat. They should bring hot yoga back it’s a nice studio.

After practicing yoga in numerous studios in several cities I can honestly say that HHY is my FAVORITE studio. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned practitioner you will find yourself challenged and rejuvenated after attending a class or workshop here. Shelly has grown into being an amazing spiritual teacher who shares her talents freely. I feel very fortunate to be a part of the HHY community and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to improve their yoga practice as well as raise their consciousness.

Hot House Yoga is amazing. I have been in FL for about 2 months now and I'm so happy and grateful that I found Hot House. Shelly, Lee, and Cate are all great instructors!! You will leave every class feeling challenged, relieved of stress, and so healthy. The community here is so welcoming... I can't say enough great things about this yoga studio.

Love the place... the only thing with the new location is it's not HOT at all. The classes are great the heat's just not.

This is the place where support and encouragement go to die -- the opposite of what genuine yoga practice should be about. The owner is a mean, egomaniac who wins over clients by spouting her pseudo-spiritual BS when in reality she is one of the most cold people I've ever met. I went here a few times and enjoyed the classes with other instructors. One of my good friends had never tried yoga and so I encouraged her to join me one weekend. I assured her (as anyone would) that it was OKAY if she couldn't keep up - she wouldn't be judged, she could go into child's pose if a pose was too much for her, etc. She was about moderately overweight, and also mentally in a pretty bad place while going through a tough separation. We went to the class and I kid you not, my friend left IN TEARS after being called out shamelessly in front of a group of her peers. To make a long story short, she let out a few SIGHS between poses, struggling to keep up, and Shelley proceeded to scold her. The first time she did this (loudly shushing her in front of the group) I shrugged it off. About then minutes later, my friend again sighed and she proceeded to call out "you in the back. You can leave now" This took place a long time ago, but it still to this day haunts me. I meant to post a review when it happened and I never got around to making an account. I am not a person who would normally feel compelled to write a review, especially a negative one- but this incident stuck with me and I feel it's only right to share this experience in hopes that you might choose to take your practice elsewhere. I truly feel it was discriminatory to my friend and certainly traumatic. She really suffers from low self esteem, and this experience really set her back. I still can't get her to trust me to go to another class at another studio. I have told this to a few friends who shared similarly unprofessional stories about the owner specifically, each who took their business elsewhere. I moved away for a few years and am now back in the area, and I will be sure to continue to share this experience with my peers and colleagues.
