Just have to say this. We stayed here yearly in the 60’s with my parents and siblings. I am glad to see it is still there. Many fond memories. I will have to make it by there now I know it is still there.Rooms: 5/5

Our family vacationed here for years, and it was my husband's very favorite place on Earth. He passed away last year without getting to visit here again. I have plans to return with my children who are grown now. This Motel is just like staying with family! The rooms are huge and have everything you could possibly want. It literally is like staying with family!

I LOVE OCEAN CREST! Some places should never change. This is one of them. It is the way it is for a reason. A space to unwind and unpack all the trappings of the world. It's all about the beach. Who needs a coffee maker when you have the best waves in Florida. No shirt. No shoes. No problem.

0 stars. Staff not on site. Had to call when we needed anything. We reserved two rooms with two beds for two families visiting together. We got two rooms, one 56" wide bed in each. No amenities, dirty floors, piles of trash and sand under all furnature. Dirty dishes in kitchenette. They claimed Expedia double booked, but we called Ocean Crest directly, so no. When you're in Daytona for the race and you've made your reservations 6+ months early, and you stay in the same motel EVERY race for the past 23 YEARS.... its painful too it sold and go downhill because new owners live in Miami and can't be bothered to keep the place up to par. They sold off the good a/c units and put in much smaller ones. The tiled the bathrooms but left the broken toilets. Its just a shame. We will end our tradition. We won't be back.

Amazing place! Very clean, friendly management and you have the ocean right across A1A!! They have great rates and if you need anything at all they do there best to help out or get you what you need! Hands down great place to stay!!??

Love this motel! John and Lisa (managers) are incredible. The rooms are very clean, good wifi, comfortable beds, and if you need anything they do the very best they can to accommodate you. I can open my room door and see and hear the ocean that is just across the A1A. Their prices are great!

John is a complete creep, he says unprofessional things to women and sneaks into rooms when patrons are out. we had bugs in our room and had to buy our own bug spray. this is not a family location anymore.

Comfortable and homey feeling. Sit in front of your room and watch the sun come up! New managers are updating the rooms. Stayed in one updated, one not. No complaints about either. Both were clean and well-cared for, no evidence of bugs that an older review mentioned. The view is calming and there is a dedicated walkway for beach access. This isn't a very busy stretch of beach, so it didn't feel crowded. Also, there isn't so much light from the huge buildings, so you can see soooo many stars on a clear night! John and Lisa are great! For the location and the price, this is a good choice.

Older motel being repaired and well-kept by the new managers, who couldn't be nicer! Lisa and John are great! They love dogs, the place is repainted and there are no bugs of any kind-very clean! They are still working it, but if you keep in mind it's an older place on the beach you will be happy. Tons of hot water. Quiet, safe area (I lived a mile away for four years until recently, so I would know). Publix, banks, other amenities very nearby. Centrally located to everything fun. Thanks Lisa and John!

Very nice couple who have just taken over the maintenance and guest services. They were very accommodating and gracious. The rooms and building some TLC, John and Lisa are working hard at. The view of the Ocean is beautiful. Would recommend! Great price!

We just returned from a three day trip to Ormond Beach stayed at the Ocean Crest as we have many times. The old owner Gorden stopped by to say hello.The place has gone thru different management but Lisa and John are the greatest we were a bit nervous after reading reviews from last year but when we saw better ones from the 1st of the year we decided to give it a chance the room was clean no sign of any bugs and you can't beat this location right across from a very quite beach. Enjoy your retirement Gorden and the best to Lisa and John your doing a great job!!

I would like to retract my previous review and I have deleted it. John and Lisa are amazing people and if they are running it I am sure it is top notch. I appologize for the review as I personally did not know the complete story when I allwoed someone to use my account to post their review. Again it was a beautiful condo going through management changes when I saw it but it had amazing Florida Charm, beautiful views, reasonable prices, and good people around.
