As a delivery driver, I’m always skeptical of who works on my car, but Pep Boys in Ormond Beach quickly gained my trust!
Scheduling appointments is extremely easy and convenient (online booking and weekend availability is VERY handy for those who work weekdays)… when waiting in their waiting area, I can even hear staff speaking with walk-ins and they always try to accommodate to the best of their abilities, while remaining honest and realistic on potential wait times.
Diagnostic pricing for various systems is reasonable.
After diagnosing, they go over the results with you along with a price quote and get your permission prior to proceeding.
They showed great flexibility by agreeing to a last minute bulb replacement that wasn’t originally on my service ticket.
Their communication to customers is immaculate. Nick at the front desk reached out to me the day before my scheduled appointment to offer me a sooner time, because they had a last minute opening… even as I sit in the waiting room, I can even hear him reaching out to customers to provide updates, and general follow-ups. He’s always super polite, too! ((There is another fella at the front desk who deserves a superb shoutout, but I didn’t catch his name. It was when I had my AC serviced in June!))
Super easy and convenient place to have your car serviced. So far I’ve had my AC serviced, TPMS sensors replaced, ABS sensors replaced, and a blinker bulb replaced… I’ve had a great experience every time!

How wonderful to find an automotive repair shop that can work with my schedule and who understand my specific needs. I found that in PepBoy's in Ormond Beach, FL. I made an appointment for a Saturday morning for an AC Evac and Recharge. They tested the whole system and agreed with my assessments for the necessary repairs. They also gave me a heads up to a problem I should take care of in the near future as my compressor should be replaced. They quoted a price and I picked my car up within 2 hours of dropping it off. The employees were very cordial and knowledgeable.

Service was decent. Alignment not 100%.
They sold me $110 warranty without even asking. 5 weeks later still waiting for refund. That show to me a lot. There is reason, I haven’t been back for 9 years.

I took my car in because the air wasn’t blowing as cold as it should be. After they looked at the car, the manager came to me and said there’s a plastic piece controlling the temp, and it needs to be replaced. I asked how much it would be, and he says between $300-$1,200. I looked at him, and left. How can you provide a customer with a range that wide? I may not be fluent in the world of auto repair, but I know when things don’t sound right. I then took my car to Arctic Air on Nova, and they replaced the same piece for only $30
and service was completed the same day.
It was a dishonest, and distrustful situation. I’m glad I was able to discern the situation. How many other people have they done like this?
