I came into this Ace hardware to get a quote on a big green egg and it was a little confusing so I asked for the manager once we had decided on the price. I said do you give a military discount and he stated no everything is now based on points and that they used to but the new owner has no longer accepted that. So the next day I was driving around and I decided to go into the ace hardware located at 3755 Alafaya Trail, Oviedo, FL 32765 to compare prices. The sales associate and I went over the numbers from the other Oviedo store and then I said you wouldn't happen to accept military discount would you and he said yes sir we do, I said do I also get my points for this and he said yes sir you do. It is obvious that each franchise owner carries the ace brand but they clearly have their own beliefs or set of rules. Obviously I will not be back and I wouldn't recommend that any veteran use this location or their new store that they're building. I saved $192.00 ??? Wow.

I’ve always got my nuts and bolts here as they always had a good selection and good pricing. However I would NOT recommend going here for such items now as a 62 cent bolt at Lowe’s now cost 1.69 here at ace. A 170+% markup seems like a rip off, especially considering other ace stores are still priced as they used to be, will not be returning here. Fyi

This ace hardware is terrible!I normally go to one near to me but when I was running errands this one was closest.They normally match the price but this time when I ask they said no which l think isn’t fair.

Went there to buy a 100lb canister of Propane. I entered and told Josh what I needed. No greeting, no acknowledgement, just turned away and muttered into his radio. I waited at the propane tank. Eventually Josh himself appeared and started to open the plastic dust cap on the tank, except he was turning it clockwise. These valves have a counter-clockwise thread. He broke off the plastic "wings" on the cap. I pointed out the problem and he started turning it clockwise again, but now with a Channel-Lock wrench. Now he'd broken off the entire top of the cap. Scot appeared, took the Channel-locks and tried to open it. But now there was nothing to get hold of. I told him about the thread direction and he replied by instructing me to "stand back". They eventually figured out how to open the valve, and filled the tank. I went inside to pay. I returned and they were helping another customer, leaving me to lift the 100lb tank into my truck alone. Doesn't appear they received any training about dispensing propane or even basic courtesy skills. I think I won't be back anytime soon.
