Had questions about a system/games that I didn’t know much about and I had to tear the sales associate away from whatever he was doing at the front counter and asked to see games in the case, so I could see condition. The long haired gentleman (the employee) was snarky and very unhelpful. And would not open the counter and allow me to inspect the games I was looking for. So I went somewhere else that was willing to help and not acting like I was bothering them. Being a manager of a service business, with multiple competitors I always make sure that I always treat everyone with respect and the upmost understanding and attentiveness. This person did neither and just demonstrates why malls are going away. I do not recommended shopping here unless you know everything there is to know about what you are shopping for. Very poor customer service and inattentive staff.

Decent store, had what I was looking for. However the people who run business there are shady. I asked about a return policy before purchasing an item and the only answer I received was that I had seven days to return the item, no other information was provided. After going in to return the item they informed me it could only be issued in store credit or item exchange. That is something that definitely should have been mentioned when I asked about it their policy. Shady business tactics, absolutely not shopping there again.

I used to enjoy the store great deals with trades but now they try to lowball you for everything even a trade or a return if u have a collection that’s holds value I recommend to do research before just selling it

Very nice selection of retro video gams and consoles! Would come again! But the only minor problem is that the AC is not working properly.

My journey starts at the Oveido Mall location where for $115 i purchased a PSP-1000 console. The guy working there was extremely nice and we had a great conversation. He was very helpful. He informed me that the console had Custom Firmware installed because it was a japanese console and that lets it play US games or something. Or at least that's how he explained it to me. No problem. They explained they don't do it themselves and that their "supplier" does the custom firmware stuff. The issue with this is that their "supplier" installs an ancient version of firmware 5.50 which means the system is unable to run some games released after the 5.50 firmware (105 games to be exact, including MANY major titles like Littlebigplanet, for example.) The worst part is that they actually change a file in the console that makes it impossible to upgrade to a newer version because they LOCK it to prevent you from doing so. The console is tricked into believing it is on "version 9.90" and that's what it tells you when you try to update. There's no such thing at 9.90 it's just the value they put when installing this crappy custom firmware, on purpose to prevent you from updating. Luckily i am technically inclined so i was actually able to revert all of their changes and finally installed an official updated Sony firmware. the most recently version, now i can finally play my games on the thing. The average consumer, however, have no idea how to do this and to them the whole thing would become a paperweight when trying to play popular games like: Littlebigplanet, Final Fantasy IV, Kingdom Hearts, Gran Turismo, and MORE. Before i reverted these distasteful changes or even touched the console at all i took it over to the altamonte location because it was closest to me. The dude working at that location, unlike the first guy at Oveido, didn't want to work with me at all. I told him i wanted to return the console and he really didn't want to do it. he sat there trying to talk me out of it and was giving me a hard time trying to tell me that there's "no reason for you to even update it", which is completely untrue as i just stated. Was being extremely argumentative, refusing to offer a bit of decent customer service. Unbelievable. This made me pretty angry and then his computer bluescreened and the whole situation there was a sh*tshow so i just grabbed my stuff and left. Oh yeah, also they ONLY OFFER STORE CREDIT FOR RETURNS... which is insane to me. literally every store nowadays can do card returns. that's completely bizarre. they just want to keep your money and don't care about quality of product. they need to work this out with their "distributor" immediately because selling these paperweights for over $100 is absolutely crazy. unfortunately i don't think i will be returning. luckily i was able to fix my psp myself because they were unwilling to offer any help. anyone else would have probably been screwed and thrown the thing in the trash. if you'd like to visit a good store i would recommend gamers inc... jeez i would even recommend ebay over this place. an absolute joke. SIDENOTE:: there is no sign inside that states "no refunds". only on the bottom of your receipt... which is crazy because section 501.142, Florida Statutes, requires a retail establishment that sells goods to the general public and offers no cash refund, credit refund, or exchange of merchandise to post a "no refund" sign at the point of sale. The absence of such a sign means the store has a refund or exchange policy.

This location was better than the Altamonte one. The staff was friendlier here too! The selection wasn't incredible, but it was ok. In my other review I gave my opinions on this. In short, have more classic games, games in better condition, and authentic games. Also for anyone going here, the pokemon cards are $2 to $10 dollars overpriced. Wouldn't recommend getting anything in that ballpark over at this store.

Really nice spot, and convenient! Friendly staff! Just wish the selection was better. Was able to grab an old PS1 game I wanted for years so that was nice. :) Perhaps have an inventory of new games as well to stay competitive like nearby stores? Will be back often to check their stock.

Very big space but small selection compared to other game stores and a little more on the expensive side, but employees were nice

Good stock of CD based systems, no hidden gems to find, except maybe for a uncapped game gear and the clerk, such a nice guy

Shopped here before and they're so nice! They're honest about what games and stuff are worth, a good stop especially when shopping for kids ;)

While I cannot speak about the prices of the videos games as I didn't browse, I was able to get a great deal on some collectables! I got talking with the manager and another staff member- both of which were extremely friendly, fun to talk to, and helpful! I wish I got their names to add into my review. The store is small and looks a little run down in places but I am rating my experience here with the staff and products as a definite 5 ☆! I will be returning next time I find myself in the area. :)Thank you guys!

Got a PS3 slim from there as a gift. It works great and is in great condition. The controller also wasn't disgusting! Hugely recommend!
