Absolute rip off artists. When trading in cards they will screw you over on price. Offer way below half of market value, check tcg, card kingdom or cool stuff prices for trade in value and then take away half and you'll be lucky to get that much. Took in a handful of $50+ cards and $30+, they offered me $67 for about $350 worth of cards. Go to geek'd if looking to trade in or purchase anything, at least there you get a fair deal and friendly service. Versus will rip you off and then be rude to you.

I am visiting the area for a few weeks and was looking for a card shop to fuel my MTG habit. This place was on point.
I had come by early in the week and one of the owners told me they were having an MTG event on a Wednesday evening and to come by and check it out. It was great, linked up with a pod easily. The players were talented and easy to converse and communicate with. The owners did a raffle for participants in the MTG event.
I also ordered some singles from their collection. They have a quick and effective website that can be used from home or at the store. Prices were reasonable and the staff was helpful. It was overall a great experience for someone from out of town. I come to the area a few times a year and will be back every time.

Versus is an absolute gem for any card game enthusiast! The selection is unmatched, with a wide variety of games, from Pokémon to Lorcana to One Piece and everything in between. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, always ready to offer to help you find exactly what you need. Customer service is top tier and it’s not often you even have the store owner stepping up just as much as the employees. The store has a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for both seasoned players and newcomers. Whether you’re looking to expand your collection or discover a new game, Versus is the place to go. I can’t recommend it enough—this is literally hands down the best card game store around!
Which is why it’s truly disappointing to see such negative and slanderous reviews that don’t honestly reflect the hard work and dedication of not only owner of Versus but also their employees. They take great pride in providing high-quality products and exceptional service to their customers, and it’s disheartening to see their reputation unfairly tarnished. Versus has always strived to address any genuine concerns, clearly valuing their customers and has continuously done an amazing job to create a positive experience for everyone who visits them. And I say this as my personal and genuine opinion and from my own experience with them these last three years.
So please don’t let the lies on here mislead you and discourage you from going in and checking Versus Games out when you’re in the area!

It is unfortunate that one manager/owner of this store, Raf, has caused such turmoil with his staff and the community at Versus. He, unfortunately, can't take ownership of his poor decision making skills which has caused not just one, but at least THREE well loved employees to no longer be at this store (hence having to shut the store recently as he didn't have enough staff to keep it open). I know this has affected the community that was built at Versus Games for years and it's sad to see so many good people be let down due to one man's incompetence and inability to realize he's unfit to manage a store and most importantly, people. The store does not have mirrors in the bathroom, despite having tourney's on camera, which is another unfortunate decision as maybe then Raf could reflect on everything he's done or lack there of. For the sake of the others still left there, I hope change happens but unfortunately, based on previous actions, I doubt it will.

Used to be an absolutely splendid little place, but over time it just kind of fell off for me.
Noted poor treatment of workers and mishandling of product. I ordered warhammer models a bit ago that simply took two months to actually arrive; if this was a shipping error that’s fine but it wasn’t. The product was just not ordered for a whole month, and even when it did show up not everything I requested was ordered. And recently the store was shut down for two days due to sickness. I know it’s a smaller store but surly there’s enough people who work there to where it’d be an astronomical coincidence for every single person who can run the shop even temporarily is sick. Over time I’ve just lost the good faith that was built up with this business, going from a local business I was proud to support to just, another place that has cards and products.

Tbh I try not supporting this store when trainers is in the same mall. Have people inside, turned the lights on 10 minutes after open, still waiting outside 30 minutes after open to no avail as they definitely see people waiting outside but chose not to open the gate?
Trainers? I walk outside the store and they immediately recognize me and opened their gates when seeing there are people waiting to make a solid purchase.
Skip versus go to trainers backpack.

The staff here are always incredibly kind. They throw great events and are welcoming to new people. I'd be an even more frequent patron if they weren't so far away from me.

Personally I’m not a gamer but I have gamer friends and this is my go to spot for buying gifts for them. I love the friendly, knowledgeable staff. Mark and Raf are the best!
Definitely check this spot out next time you’re at the Oviedo Mall.

I've been a patron of Versus for a long time now, but due to recent happenings I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
I used to love Versus and have been going since they opened. I've been there for Magic The Gathering and One Piece products as well as various tournaments, be it Smash Brothers or MTG Standard. Their prices are pretty average, that is to say that you could easily buy all your products online at a competitive price compared to Versus, but I always bought from Versus anyways because I enjoy supporting local card stores and the local community. Just like every company, they have their own amount of internal turmoil on the management side of things, but Versus' seems to have spiked within this last year and even more-so within the last few months. Products ordered through Versus not arriving for two months when you could easily get it within 5 days of ordering online, employees being laid off out of nowhere only for job listings to open back up only two weeks later, and the store having to shut its doors for a day or two due to aforementioned layoffs to just list a few. Versus does not seem to care about it's employees and little sense of urgency when it comes to client orders. I've also heard rumors of the main manager of Versus using AI to write announcements to the community or posts on social media. Additionally to that I've also seen some suspect images being used that strongly resemble AI generated images being used for aforementioned community announcements/social media posts. If these rumors are true, if the manager is too lazy to write a few paragraphs, it really makes you think what other corners they are cutting.
Again, I used to love Versus. And I still enjoy the fact that they're a local card store, however due to their treatment of employees and how they handle various practices, I no longer deem them worth of my business and suggest that you do the same. If you, like me, wish to continue supporting local card stores, and want to have stronger piece of mind over your purchase being ethical, instead consider some of these alternatives to Versus; Trainer's Backpack, The Haven Tabletop Games, Campus Cards and Games 2 or Layton Gaming.

I have a lot of history with this game store, going all the way back to when it originally opened and even before that when I went to the old manager's store called Smash Comics & Games. It genuinely sucks when I heard multiple beloved employees were mistreated while they were there and recently fired. To add insult to injury to this they closed for 2 different day closely after they fired everyone. They also, as of today, announced that they are looking for applicants for jobs, which they wouldn't have had to do if they just kept the employees they fired not even 2 weeks ago. Along side that I have suspicions of AI text and art being used for announcements and replies on social media. Sucks to see a place I loved so dearly be taken down by poor management.
I miss the old Versus
