I’ve lived in Oxford my whole life and the best thing Oxford can do for this playground is build a better wooden playground, get the community to help. There are more young kids out here now and it’s sad that they can’t have birthdays or small events here. Oxford please take some time to focus on the youth.

Town park with pickleball courts(6) and adjacent playground, basketball court, covered picnic area with tables, benches, port-a-john. Parking adjacent to or in unused field next door. Door to pickleball courts held closed with small rock. Very easy to track sand onto courts. No brushes or rollers to remove water which forms a large pool on North side of courts after a rain. There are comfortable benches along courts to sit on. Weeds all along fence growing onto courts. No awnings on courts to get out of sun. Used ant killer for nest in middle of court. Nets dirty. Side door held closed with piece of discarded wood. Drinking fountain not connected to any water. No drinking water available. Night lights all non-functional. Fencing falling down. Windscreen absent in almost all places, with the little remainder falling down.
You could make this a really nice place, Oxford. PLEASE!
Playground: Playground consists of one swingset, small climbing bars, play sand area packed full of grass and weeds.
Restrooms: No restrooms. 1 port-a-john
Dog-friendliness: Dogs frequently play on mowed adjacent field.
Picnic area: Small covered metal picnic tables(2) with metal benches. (2) uncovered wooden picnic tables with wooden benches. Barbecue rusted out, unusable. No drinking water available. Trash overflowing can, on ground.

The playground shown in pictures is not here. Just a rusted swing set and a rusted climbing structure. Do not waste your time to make the trip to visit this playground, it's not worth it.

People have already shown pics, so I won't bother. I took my 2 year old to the playground. There was broken glass, broken equipment, and rusted holes on the main play structure. It would be a lovely park for villagers to take their grandkids and parents to take their children if it was repaired. Please do not take your little ones. It's dangerous for everyone, but especially toddlers.

If it had some TCL, it would be a great park.Very breezy.Right next to a tennis and basketball ball court.Benches are nice. However, the pavilion was infested with warps.Playground: Looks faded but still works fine kid lived it.Restrooms: Porta potty.Picnic area: The tables are nice. But pavilion was infested with wasps. And missing grill with rusted pipe where it is missing.

Love the wild phlox that grows alongside the highways in Central and Northern Florida. Picked flowers stay fresh in water and vase more than 2 weeks.
