My husband and I were new to the area looking for a home and Kim Barnes at South State got us an awesome loan on a home.
After moving in we set up all our other financial needs up through South State and we couldn't be happier.
Everyone we have interacted with has been very professional and polite.

Very disappointed in the customer service today. A clerk yelled at me from across the room to take my sunglasses and hat off. I understand but yelling at me from across the room is unprofessional and disrespectful.

Really? An $8 fee to honor their accountholders debts? Dont accept checks from Southstate bank customers if you are not one yourself.

Be careful when you bank here. Had overdraft protection and other fee protections, and come to find out nothing was set up for me as a customer. Especially while out of state. With this bank, state wide, make sure you have documentation of everything you do.
Tip: talk to the customers face to face before applying.
