Have been visiting the vets there for a couple of years. The vets and staff are great. I gave 4 stars only because when you visit, most dogs are a bit anxious, some are aggressive and some are scared. to keep them down, you have to transfer calmness to them. the front staff are caring and love animals that they approach to pet and talk with them and speak in a exciting way making the animals more excited. I watched many Cesar Milan's video which are great and the first thing he teaches for excited dogs are no look, no touch, and no talk until they are not excited and then you can praise them for being calm. I have 2 dogs who love people and are very excited to meet people and are kind of hard to control them and the staff come over and change their voice to a playful and excited and sit and petting them, and they get real excited and can't control them. even though I am appreciative of their kindness, I wished they follow some control to show calmness to the pets. Thank you PBAH.

They are super good about being organized and lowering chances of incidents by separating pets. The staff is also super good with our dog, who has trauma from being badly handled in the past with other vets and normally is scared of them.

I grew up the daughter of a veterinarian and my father would NEVER turn someone away with an emergency situation with someone's pet, schedule full of appointments, or busy with surgeries, etc. the emergencies were a priority. But today I called as my dog was possibly having a seizure and I am a client here, they advised they had an appointment later in day or go to the emergency vet across town. I felt dismissed and that my pet was not important enough to help in an emergency. This was the final straw I will take my pets to another veterinarian from now on. I feel it is a money grab here as anytime I've taken one of my pets in I have not left for under $300 for basic care and usually more over $400+. I was floored by the fact too they don't even read fecals here they send those to lab to be read, that's basic stuff they can't even do there and more costly for the owners to send it to a lab, when they can look under a microscope and determine if and what kind of parasite the pet has. It's really disappointing to say the least that they say they are an animal hospital when they turn away immediate emergencies. I'm so glad my father was in the veterinary business for the animals and not for the money.

Heartfelt thanks to Veterinarian Dr. Kellie Nelson at Animal Hospital of Palm Bay! ?? Dr. Nelson and her entire staff, including Sophie, and Kelly, and Laura, Cheyene, and all the others who have helped, are among the most caring, thoughtful, loving people I've ever had the fortune to know. Thanks to their caring and deligence, Chazz is back home tonight after working him in today, and the change in him is incredible! ?? He went in not eating, not being able to poop, with a fever, his osteoarthritis, and more, and tonight, is eating like his old self, and so much perkier! My hubby thought I might be coming back home without him, as he was so bad when I took him back in. -- Thank You, Dr. Nelson, and all the staff who were there for me! YOU ROCK, and I am so very grateful for you!????

Great vet... first vet I've found that actually cares about the animals. The staff is genuinely compassionate, and the cost is reasonable.

Animal Hospital of Palm Bay has the most compassionate, knowledgeable, caring, and loving vets, techs, and front office staff. We were impressed the very first time we visited (more than two years ago) with our, then, new puppy and continue to be impressed and very grateful. So much so that we didn't hesitate to entrust them with the care of our new puppy, as well.

Don’t let the smiling faces and nice facilities fool you! They are all about the money took my sick cat here got bloodwork done $350 later showed infection and they refused to give her antibiotics without a thousand dollar biopsy . Had to go to another vet which agreed you should treat infection first before cutting an animal open. Common sense but since all they want is money they will let your baby suffer with infection until you come up with that 1k for more services. Thanks “Dr” Nelson maybe try going to compassion school next because you have NONE. If you care about your fur babies go someplace else…
