I didn't have a problem with CU until I went online to look for statements and noticed I no longer had an account with them. I initially opened account to pay off car loan and when that was paid off there was only $19 in account, but I personally never closed account. When my concerns for a refund were passed to mngt they said my money could not be returned because it was collected as a fee for not having a set amount in account. I was never informed or contacted about fee. I was never contacted about account being closed. Before account was closed I had personally reached out to CU on two other occasions for separate matters and not once did anyone mention that my account was in danger of being closed. I know it's just $19 and that's not a lot, but it's the lack of communication that I have a problem with. My money was taken and I never had a chance to rectify the situation. I guess I'll just have to take the loss though because mngt stopped responding to me and I just decided to close down account.

Pitiful excuse for a credit union. Opened the second chance checking account. It was a big misunderstanding about fees and how the account actually worked. Closed my account over - $10 that was taken care of in less than 30 days. Never received a letter informing me my that my checking acct would be closed. No compassion from management. Very ridiculous and now that I'm not even a member there i keep receiving mail about insurance and such. ?

If you don't continue to use the account and just leave your money to sit they will take a fee and deplete the account.. that is horrible and I will not ever go back. The lady told me that's what happened with no compassion. #thumbsdown

The worst credit union on Earth. First Choice should be your last choice. They have more fees than Bank of America and Wells Fargo combined. They charge for bill pay. I am pretty sure that they are the only institution in the country that still does that. Their website looks to have been designed by a brain-damaged monkey and has no useful features. The mobile app is mobile crap, can't deposit a check like you can through every other bank and CU app in existence. First Choice caters to people with low expectations and those who just don't know any better. 1987 style banking has no place in the 21st century.
