My dog was cut open by a hog and he didn't think she was gonna make it. Dr Acosta went above and beyond to save her. The wound was pretty deep and close to the juggler. His knowledge and expertise saved her life. Today she is happy and healthy and still loves hunting. Thank you Dr. Acosta and staff for everything you do.

I should have done this review a long time ago, but the good thing about doing it now is that I can have more clarity, the wonderful veterinary doctor that is Dr. Armando Acosta, when I first went to his clinic in northlake in February of last year, by recommendation From an acquaintance, I found out that he had bought her a year before, from another veterinarian. At that time I was very sad, disappointed and tired of the veterinarians that I had known through my almost 2 decades searching for the ideal veterinarian, and due to circumstances of life had to meet him at the worst moment, when my Toto got sick with a very aggr

I've bounced between quite a few vet clinics over the last few years with my 2 cats, young dog and senior dog. Just haven't felt truly drawn to any of them. But let me say this - I'm soooo happy to have found Dr. Acosta! He's really great. Smart, patient, and kind, takes time to hear me and talk things over regarding my pets. Highly recommend him!!! He works in emergency medicine too, so you know he's seen a lot over the course of his career.

Excellent care under Dr Acosta. Must other reviews are from prior doctor. Dr Acosta shows he cares for the well being of animals and is very knowledgeable. His office has put in place COVID measurements that are very good only having one patient at a time. Will definitely recommend to anyone. Very professional and courteous service. Prices are very competitive and affordable.

I can't say enough about the staff and the doctor himself. He actually listens and cares for my pet like no other vet has ever done before. And more affordable than the others... So grateful for them

Garden Park Animal “Clinic” nearly killed my dog! This place is disgusting and shouldn’t be allowed to “practice” veterinary care because that’s exactly what they’re doing, practicing. Garden Park Animal "Clinic" nearly killed my dog! This place is disgusting and shouldn't be allowed to "practice" veterinary care because that's exactly what they're doing, practicing. We took our 6mo old Black Lab there to be spayed and nearly didn't leave her due to the fact that the place looked so sketchy and they don't let you go back with your animals, even if it's just taking them there for vaccinations or a checkup. There's no reason to deny an owner to be with their animal for a routine appointment, unless your hiding something. After picking her up from being spayed, I was very concerned to see metal wires used for stitches. I have had numerous pets spayed over the years and never seen anything like this. However, I assumed because of the good reviews the place had that he must be doing something right. 5 days after surgery our girl developed a large mass just to the right of the incision site that had us concerned so I brought her back in the next morning to have it looked at. The guy at the front desk told me the doctor wasn't in yet, but it was just some blood under the surface, it was quite "normal" and would have to be drained. He said I could wait but I needed to get to work so I reluctantly said I would leave her there and come back on my lunch to get her. He told me it wouldn't take long and they would call me when she was ready. I felt very uneasy leaving her, and wish I would've trusted my gut because my girl tried like crazy to leave with me. She was trying to tell me something and I should've listened. 3 hours later when I hadn't heard from them I called and was told she was just waking up, that there was a lot of blood and they had to put her under. I never consented to this and had no knowledge of my dog being put under anesthesia until AFTER it happened! He told me there would be a "drain tube" that she would have to go home with and they would show me how to drain it when I got there. Attached are photos of what I found. They tied a piece of string in a loop and told me twice a day I needed to move that string back and forth through the incision and then "catch whatever comes out with papertowl". Are you kidding me!? This loop of string wouldn't last 30mins with my dog as she would catch it with her back paw and pull it out, which would certainly result in her bleeding to death if it happened while we were gone. To add insult to injury, they wouldn't give me my dog from the back until I paid for the anesthesia I didn't authorize! The front desk person said he didn't agree with it, but the doctor wont let him release the dog to me without paying the bill. This was a complication from their surgery 5 days prior and they made me pay for it! They also told me there was no infection, just blood. I didn't even take my girl home. I went straight to a local vet hospital and they immediately cut the string out of here, resulting in a large amount of fluid to come out. They cultured that fluid and she had a huge infection which, left untreated would've killed her in a matter of days. I am so thankful for the wonderful people at the animal hospital who saved my girl after this place did their best to nearly kill her! They should be ashamed of the place their running and anyone who goes here needs to really think twice about it if you value the life of your pet.
