They did a great job on my pieces, and they spent a lot of time working with us to make the right choices for our frames and mattes. They were late getting them finished but communicated regularly so I would know the progress.

I brought in a piece of artwork to be framed on January 25th and was told that it would be ready for pickup on February 8th. When February 8th came and I had not heard anything about my order being ready, I called the store to confirm that my framed artwork was ready to be picked up. I was told that the frame had arrived damaged, but a new one was ordered and that everything should be ready in 2-4 days.5 days go by and I have not heard anything back, so I decided to call. I spoke with the manager of the framing department, Eric. Eric told me that my order would be ready in 2-4 days and that the frame had been delayed. I told him that I was told the same thing earlier in the week and asked what options I had in terms of picking up my artwork, discounting the frame, or canceling the order entirely.Eric aggressively raised his voice at me and told me that "nothing has ever happened to an art piece in his 25 years of working in framing and that he cannot tell me what he would discount the price to because he cannot control the UPS driver delivering the frame." Eric assured me that I would be the first to hear any updates about my order and that UPS said that the frame would be arriving the next day, and my artwork would be ready for pickup the following day.Two more days go by and I have not heard anything, so I decide to call the store. I am told that my order is ready to be picked up.Upon arrival, I review that framed artwork to see that not only is the matte creased, but the corners of my artwork have been folded and creased as well. Now, after three weeks, I am left right where I started with no frame or matte and my artwork messed up. Thanks Eric :/

Don't ever place an online order here! After placing an online order, they called me to let me know half of my items were in stock, and that I would have to go pick them up from the pick up counter, and then stand in line and get a refund for the missing items. I told them to just cancel my entire item as I was not going to do that now it's over two weeks later and I'm still just beating the charge because they said that I picked up an order that I never picked up. Everyone that works in the store is extremely incompetent.

Sherrie (sp?) in the framing department is an absolute gem! She has an outstanding personality and the patience of a saint. I visited last evening to research my framing options for a poster I purchased in Charleston on my birthday road trip in 2021. It's clearly not being enjoyed rolled up in the closet; therefore, I decided it's time to break off some coin and have it professionally framed. The 65% framing sale lured me in. In my mind, I was thinking a white frame to match the white frames in my bedroom. However, in chatting with Sherrie and unrolling the poster we realized white isn't an option because the background of the poster is more of a cream color. Picture the old school paper the Declaration of Independence was inscribed on. White framing would look ridiculous! This threw me off guard and I was totally clueless as to which direction I wanted to go in. Sherrie was so patient as we paired the poster with at least 10 options. She was also very helpful providing suggestions throughout the process. In the end, I opted for a matte gold frame. I had some gift cards at home I wanted to put toward the purchase so I'm returning this evening to drop off the poster for framing. I was petrified I might tear or wrinkle the poster in transit and mentioned this to Sherrie. She understood and was kind enough to offer me a sleeve which she graciously taped my poster in. Additionally, she provided me with a printout of the estimate and informed me it secures the quoted price for two weeks. I won't need to present the quote if the sale is still on when I return. She is very knowledgeable about the materials and framing process and provided an excellent explanation as to what I can expect. It's a slight investment to frame a poster, but I assure you it's well worth it when one sees the finished product. The reality is it is a poster I will keep for a many years God wiling and the matte gold frame allows it to be paired with many decor options. I'll be sure to post a photo and report back upon completion. It takes approximately two weeks after drop-off and payment. The framing materials come from NC and the art is framed and stored in-house. Payment is made in advance.

When your looking for certain items to make crafts, Michaels is the go to. Went to the Michaels in Legacy Place, the staff there were soooo helpful!!!! They not only helped with the online order I did (soooooo convenient & easy) but also had a nice selection of items on sale - so time to stock up on a few things. It's so nice to have helpful and cheerful employees. Sadly, you don't always get that kind of service much. It was very much appreciated!!!!

I recently was in the store to use a voucher I received after purchasing a very expensive cricut. They had a sale on vinyl and I got three roles from sale bin as well as a clearance cricut starter pack For $20. when I checked out I asked the check out clerk if being on clearance meant it was missing anything and she said no. I also asked her to price check my vinyl and only two were on sale (No biggie) things get placed in the wrong sections all the time. A soon as I get home I open up my new treasures to find that the clearance starter pack is missing a tool and vinyls. I'm completely disappointed as I asked the clerk if being on clearance meant it was missing items. I later get an email about my shopping experience where I'm completely honest about my dissatisfaction and would like a response back. To my surprise I get a call from Joe the manager. He offered to make it right if I bring back the clearance item and left me feeling good. When I return to the store I'm met with an incredibly rude cashier. She tells me to go back and find a replacement and of course there is not one . I went ahead and picked up another item that was $30 more than what I paid for the clearance item and would pay the difference as it's something I originally wanted. I go back to the same cashier that does the return and she only gives me $6.59 cents towards the new item. I try to explain that the voucher of $13.41 should also come off as the vouchwe is money to spend. She argues with me like I'm a moron. I try to explain the math and I'm clearly getting no where. She calls the other manager over who also doesn't understand the math. i try to explain that the voucher is money also in my account and should come off the price as well. Why should I lose my voucher because they sold me a bad product and don't have an exact replacement. The rude cashier gives me impression I should be happy with my clearance item as is because it's still worth more than what I paid. The other manager Alex replaces the tool but can't replace the missing vinyls and finds this sufficient. I leave the store as there is no understanding between any of us and call the store back to speak to the original manager joe who was incredibly kind and wanted to make this right. I wanted to explain that his manager alex cost him money. I was willing to get something that cost more money than the original item and pay the difference but because his employee and other manager couldnt understand that the voucher should count towards the item as well as what I paid I gave up. as a fellow business owner I would want to know if my employees were treating clients less than lovely as they reflect on me. I wanted joe to know he lost business and coming from a huge crafting community he's going to lose more. I will be sure to explain in all my crafting groups how micheals treats their customersI as well as putting it on my Facebook, blog, YouTube and other channels. It may seem excessive but someone has to start taking action otherwise customers continue up to be treated this way. This could have all been solved by replacing the product completely or allowing to have the full value voucher plus what I paid count towards something else purchased. I was being be punished because they sold me a product that was incomplete. They used part of my voucher for the product and would only give me the dollar currency and not the voucher portion which should be concise red Micheal's currency. You lost a customer and possibly many more because of $13.41. Good job!

I usually enjoy getting lost in this store. The meld of art supplies, craft supplies, children's items, and seasonal whatnots definitely appeals to me. I also have found inspiration here for party decor and stamp activities. In the past, I dorked out on Christmas craft kits, especially all the fun packs of stickers and watercolor paint pads. This year, I could not believe how little Christmas items were left by the first week of December. The decorations aisle was 70% empty!Their children's art supply store brand is Creatology. I have found their pricing for paints and crayons very affordable, with a higher quality than other store brands. They also sell full art sets/kits at ridiculously low prices - $10 for over 80 items of watercolors, markers, colored pencils, etc. There always seems to be a million items on sale or discounted - usually at a generous 40% off. Likewise, I usually end up re-downloading their App while waiting in line to take another discount on any non-sale items: 20% off all items in your purchase, not just a single item. I have rarely paid full price for anything.Generally, there doesn't seem to be enough employees around to answer questions, but everyone I've encountered has been helpful. I basically ask for coupon help everytime I checkout and people are always patient. Thank you!

Love this store! Employees are very helpful and the line at checkout always moves fast. They have great sales and I always check the website for a 20% off your total purchase coupon code (the cashier was the one that told me to do that). Excellent materials, always well stocked!

The manager at this location made such a wonderful impression on me! I had purchased a frame and it was cracked, so I returned it only to have the second one also be cracked. When I called to speak to the manager, Trish, she was so understanding and accommodating. She got me set up with a new frame and even had them put my poster in it. It's people like Trish that make a customer like me have a complete 180 turn-around about a store. When I had the second issue with the cracked frame, I planned on never shopping at Michaels again. But with the wonderful customer service, I absolutely will. As far as this store goes, it's in a nice location with ample parking. They have a ton of stuff! It's well lit and clean and the other employees I had contact with were also very friendly and helpful.
