Love the selection they offer, but their prices seem to be higher with every visit. I joined their 'rewards', but have yet to see any benefit of being a member. They also started charging for bags last year, so that's another way they're nickel and dimeing you.

I agree with the negative reviews of this store’s abysmal customer service though I guess it depends on the particular person you get at the register. It took the (deer in headlights ) guy I got and his similarly stupified manager 15 minutes to determine that yes, I was a customer and no, they would not refund me for a case of prescription cat food I bought before my cat died. The young man acted as though he had never used the computer before, staring in wonder at the screen as he assured me there was no record of my purchase or even my name. An older woman at another register kept trying to help him. I think she must be the nice one other reviewers talk about here. After saying he could refund me and then that he couldn’t refund me I called for the manager who had the same vacant expression on her face as the young man. It was after 60 days so no refund even though it was non perishable canned food that is carried in the store. I called for their on site veterinarian who was involved in the prescription but they said “we don’t have one” despite advertising that they do. I suggest that Petco Legacy Place find employees that are not brain dead and then make that older woman the new manager. I will never go back.

The customer service I received from Maddie the Cashier was completely unacceptable! Not only did she allow another customer to skip me in line she then preceded to completely ignore me at the register to help a customer who wasn’t even in line at all look for a dog collar his dog couldn’t bite. Maddie and the customer continued to have a personal conversation about both of their dogs and the customer moving away the entire time she was supposed to be ringing up my grooming invoice. As a customer who has been coming to this location for years I was very disappointed and Maddie’s lack of customer service. The only great thing about this visit was Gabby in the grooming department and how wonderful her customer service always is!

I wont shop here ever again. Had an issue with my dog'ss prescription dog food and the staff was so rude about it. I come here for everything animal related but I will take my business elsewhere.

Petco as a company provides some of the worste customer service you will ever experience at any retail store. As a pet parent and a business owner myself I recommend going to Petsmart or even Pet Supplies Plus for all your purchases. I try to avoid shopping at Petco unless I have to get something specific that only they sell. Just this year in the first 2 quarters I've spent over $10,000 at Petsmart on over 100 visits and have never had anything but a positive experience. In comparison my 4 or 5 visits to Petco this year had all ended in bad experiences. Im a business owner, but when I was younger and worked in retail as a manager I was trained that the customer is always right. This is something to this day I paractice and teach my employees. Customer service is everything if you want to have repeat business. Also, an advertised price is the price. Well not at Petco. On my most recent visit to Petco (on 6/2/24 around 5 oclock) an item I selected rang up a different priced then clearly stated by a sign. The cashier agreed with something that was common sense, but she needed a manager to do the price adjustment. At this point before the manager even showed up I knew it would be a problem because of pasts experience. Let me also mention we're only talking about a price difference of less then $5 on a $25 food storage jar. Plus I have $70 worth of food and toys I'm buying. So of course when the manager finally showed up after a 5 minute wait she felt it necessary to ignore a large sign which clearly stated the price and would rather void the item then sell it to me at tge clearly advertised price. I received no explanation and after a couple of grunts and keystrokes on the register she left. She didn't even consider helping to poor cashier who now was alone on the registers with a large line. The thought of opening a reigister or apologizing to the line of upset customers was not an option for her.
I always thought that in Florida an advertised price must be honored, but this is not the case at Petco. This is not surprising from a company that charges you 10 cents for a shopping bag. As retail stores like Bed Bath a Beyond close in the area I can't help but wonder how long before Petco with there poor customer service is next. Especially when customers have the option of going to a company like Petsmart who would rather value their customers verses arguing with them. PS. the shopping bags at Petsmart are FREE!

Stopped by today with my wife to pick up some food and supplies for our boy. Always a great experience, staff is wonderful and we dealt with ERIN today. She was awesome, great personality and wonderful sense of humor. If you are asked to join their program DO IT, it is well worth it. You get awesome coupons from them and great deals, we save a good amount of money and our boy eats well. Don't miss out the atmosphere in there is great. They also have an 8 year old kitty that needs a home, her family had to give her up too go to assisted living, she was beautiful and her name is PRINCESS. we could not take her home do to certain reasons.
But if anyone has the ability to do so she is there waiting for a new home, it breaks my heart that she has no family. If you can go check her out.
She could be a great friend looking for LOVE.
