December 2021 by Maria K.
I went in for what seemed to be a simple fix- my lenses were crooked on my ray-ban frames. Slanting from one side of my face to the other, I went to the mall to get them fixed. This seemed like such an uncomplicated task that I trusted anyone to do it. Warby Parker could not do it because they do not fix glasses that are not of their own brand, sunglass hut doesn't adjust glasses that are prescription, fine, I went to LensCrafters in Macy's. I walked in and an older man in a sweater vest and button down shirt who seemed knowledgeable was working behind the desk. "A LITTLE crooked" he said as I explained the problem to him, then he started to adjust them. One he was done, he sprayed some kind of solution on them to clean them off and handed them back to me. When I say I could not SEE out of these glasses which were handed to him in pristine condition despite the frames being crooked I was appalled. He then tried to tell me the anti glare coating was "poor quality" and that LensCrafters would never sell such quality lenses. My glasses are ruined and I damn near cried in the mall, and almost got into a car accident in the parking lot because I cannot see at night without my glasses. I just got these glasses in September and it is now December and they are UNWEARABLE thanks to LENSCRAFTERS!
