I’ve been trying to purchase my first Rolex as a celebratory milestone for about 4 years now. I’ve visited about 6 dealers across the country, but still no luck. I’ve been on waitlists with 3 dealers in my immediate area for over 1.5 years. Every interaction always felt very shallow and I did not feel prioritized in the slightest, despite my plans to purchase multiple watches over my lifetime. I was also pressured to purchase other jewelry or watches to “increase” my chances of getting the watch I want. The entire process was incredibly off-putting.

I travel off and on both personally and for work, and try to pop into other Rolex boutiques or dealers whenever I can. During a recent trip to Palm Beach visiting a friend, I decided to stop into Tourneau & Bucherer on Worth Ave. I had just come from the beach and wasn’t exactly looking “my best”, however Robert Fishman came over right away and greeted me. He was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We spoke about my endless search for my first Rolex, why I was buying one, our mutual interests, looked at a few watches they had in stock, and just had an overall great conversation. Robert took down my information and let me know he would contact me if they got my watch in. The entire exchange was a genuine pleasure; especially compared to my previous interactions with Rolex dealers & boutiques.

Literally 2 weeks later Robert texted me saying it was available! I was stunned. Not only did it arrive that quickly, he also said it was no problem to hold it for a week so I could book a flight and fly down. Every dealer I’ve ever worked with has told me I would have to literally drop everything and race to the store to pick up my watch (if it ever arrived). I still couldn’t believe it and was so grateful for Robert accommodating my schedule to fly down and have the “full” first purchase experience!

During the purchase process, Robert was incredibly accommodating, professional, and an absolute pleasure to work with. He offered us a drink (I chose champagne to celebrate), walked me through every feature of the watch, then sized it for me. Robert’s knowledge of the Rolex brand and overall history is unmatched. It was a truly awesome experience and I’m so glad I chose to fly down and purchase my first Rolex from Robert. He absolutely has a customer for life!!
