Price gougers! They quoted one price and nearly doubled it. And they based it on the fact that they need lifters to get it on the truck. Why would you not have that quoted in the price for freight already??? And how does that double the price because you need equipment you should already have!!!

The experience I have had with this company is a NIGHTMARE to say the least. James, Chris, and Rose are some of the most unprofessional "representatives" I have encountered in my life. I was told on multiple difference occasions to "hold up", interrupted left and right. I was told that the pickup would happen on a Friday, it is now Tuesday the following week and the pickup has not happened. When speaking to the manager, Steven Boylan, about the copious issues I have had he brushed them off and offered a 80% refund. When expressing my issue with that "solution" he proceeded to tell me, "do what you have to do." Of course, it left me 0 shock knowing the manager is like this, because his employees are unprofessional and not understanding to the above issues. And who were they trained by? Their manager, Steven Boylan. Please avoid using this THIRD PARTY business and just book with a direct transport company to avoid wasting your time and money.
I found another company to do the job in less than 24 hours!!! Nationwide Transport Company is who I found to get the job done and they are AMAZING! Ask for Marky Richmond, he is the Regional Manager and has been a huge help!

We had a great experience with FreightCenter! I used their website to get a quote and was directly emailed by Shannon D. about the process. The quote was underestimated due to the nature of products being shipped but Shannon not only helped me correctly code the order but also helped me get the best price. She even walked me through the pick up process as it was my first shipment and she emailed me after to ensure everything went smooth; which it did. We are very satisfied and would be happy to use FreightCenter again in the future!

Do NOT use this company. They overcharged me after they said my crate was a different measurement than the packing service. They were wrong! I have the receipt from PakMail! They will just charge your credit card. Cheaters. Avoid! Don’t believe that they are a good company! They are not. The contractors that answer the phones are sales agents working on commission. The more they charge the higher the commission go elsewhere! They don’t care about your shipping!

Can't address enough complaints about this company. but the highlights arequoted one price and magically changed when it took them 4 days to come to pick it up.verified forklift on receiver side and all parties confirmed and yet i was charged and no one could understand why i was charged and crickets from the dispute center after 2 managers said they would remove it .they overbilled me for weight and after providing all the documentation then they magically stopped responding to emails.they have been caught red handed and hide behind the fact that they are a broker. well if the vendors you use are shady then that is your problem not ours. why is the consumer paying for your mistakes and poor customer service. why is it that your representatives agree and know they are wrong can't refund the client. force us to jump thorough hoops for this imaginary dispute department.poor service zero follow through and beyond shady business practice. I am so mad for not checking the reviews before i went with them. they sound good on paper but horrible in real life.I understand why they have so many complaints against them with the better business bureauDO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY YOU WILL BE ROBBED AND THEN LEFT HUNG OUT TO DRYUPDATE ... THANK GOD I HAD EVERYTHING IN EMAIL AND NOTES TO DO A DISPUTE ON MY CREDIT CARD. YOUR REPLY IS COMPLETLY FALSE. STOP HIDING BEHIND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO. MASSIVE MARKUP without taking any RESPONSIBILITY 1. I was quoted $8,750 for a 3,100 mile cross country shipment for a truck with lift gate. I was told to do a wire transfer in advance plus 3% wire fee as a new customer. I did. I was clear with the company that I had to ensure everything aligned with movers. They said no problem. The truck never showed. I was literally standing outside of the storage unit with my movers as we had staged half of what was to go into the truck. I had to pay the movers (minimum 3 hours) to take everything back in after we had it all staged. 2. A week later, I was told to pay an additional $2,000+ via credit card to get a different truck that would leave the trailer there for three days for loading. I was told I was getting a discount due to the initial problem. The day before the arrival, I was told that instead, a different truck without a lift gate would arrive but only be available for part of the day. I suddenly had to find and rent a fork-lift as well as a team to load everything in as quickly as possible - by 'tomorrow'. 3. The next day, a truck was there at the storage unit when I arrived with a forklift at 7am. 4. After talking to the driver, I found that the actual bid FreightCenter was around $5,300 and and they just milked me for everything they could without taking responsibility for the truck not showing, the last minute change, or anything. 5. FreightCenter.com states that it is a veteran owned company and is committed to serving those who have served. As a veteran (USMC) it is even more disheartening to experience something like this. If this is how a veteran owned company treats other veterans...I just don't know what to say. 6. At delivery the driver showed me that I was going to be charged $150 for the extra time needed to load - this would be reasonable. But here is the thing - despite multiple requests to FreightCenter, I've as of yet not received any finalized costs. This feels like a complete rip off! The trucking company got $5,300 while FreightCenter, Inc. keeps the rest. To be clear, I was shown the app with the bids on it which even had a similar job for $5,100. Zero value with an 60-80% markup? I did want to validate things and did some research. According to getscalefunding's current freight rate trends (Sept 27th) the average price per mile is $2.05 which would be $6,300. So while the $5,300 is low (a great price), what I was charged was exorbitant. My recommendation is to deal directly with a trucking company! Nice Guys Trucking, Schneider, or one of the others. The value you get from FreightCenter Inc. is minimal for the exorbitant market up.

Do not use Freight Center! I had a chair and painting shipped from Davie, FL to New York. The chair was wrapped as recommended with blankets and padding and shrink wrapped to a pallet as instructed. We followed all the directions. The chair was completely destroyed upon arrival and broken in 6 places. The legs were broken off, the arms were cracked and the back and sides were cracked. Also a painting which was shipped on the pallet was damaged by another object scrapping against the paint. The Freight Center would not reimburse us for the chair or the painting which were a family airlumes and made us still pay over $600 for shipping. Even though they have insurance they did not give us any reimbursement or refund the shipping cost. The items were definitely jammed together tightly in a truck which caused them to break. Extremely disappointing and unreliable shipping. Warning if you use LTL less than a truck load your items will be destroyed due to over packaging the truck. When we filed a claim and completed the paper work they offer us 90 cents. They do not stand behind there word.

Bike shop owner here- we started selling E-Bikes which are huge and heavy boxes Got the first quote from the company and almost soiled myself. Did some internet digging and found Freight Center and specifically Shannon Donahue. Her price was less than half what the bike company quoted but even more importantly she guided me through the process helping with insurance, BOL (I know what that means now), deliveries, drop gates... start to finish the whole thing. I've used FC with Shannon's help 6 times now and get to spend my time selling bicycles instead of worrying about how they are getting to me. Highly recommend!

I find it perplexing to comprehend how anyone would think it acceptable to open and remove boxes from a securely arranged pallet. And yet, that's exactly what they did! I paid for non-stackable delivery with a liftgate, and obviously, I paid with reference to the space my pallet occupied. Despite this, they OPENED MY PALLET and delivered loose boxes to my customer. It's absurd! I want a refund for the amount they basically ignore and show no concern for. www.freightcenter.com/

Do NOT Trust Freight Center! I was quoted and charged for a rate of $602.00 to ship one pallet they were given all the information needed for the rate, pallet size, what was being shipped, full weight and address of other business, with forklift/dock for unloading. paid for the shipment and it was picked up a few days later. it took about 6 days from day of pickup to be delivered. the day after delivery they then charged me for another fee of $136.83 for being a rural area. Luckly it was declined on the card. but the kicker is then come back 9 months later to charge the card again and this time it went through. I dispute this extra charge with Freight center and they will not refund my card. When you make a mistake on giving someone a rate, when you were given all information and after it was picked up and delivered and say we didn't give you the right rate for this and own up to it, that's on your company to eat that charge. find a different freight company to do business with. dishonest people there!
