It is a good option to save money with basic groceries. Better prices than other vendors nearby.

Was having a pleasant time shopping, but when I got to the line at the register, I, along with others in line, overheard the cashier telling the person at the front that they were only taking cash and got irritated when others started asking for clarification. I get that credit card machines go down, but instead of wasting everyone's time in the store have one of the two people standing around talking about stocking shelves stand at the door and let people know before they load up their cart. It turned a good shopping experience into an irritating one and a waste of time. I'm just going to stick with Publix.

My mother is a big fan of and frequent shopper at the ALDI at 3403 S Congress Avenue in Palm Springs, FL. She loves the prices and selection and has made friends with several of the employees. They're always nice to her.Lately, we've noticed a rise in homeless people loitering in the parking lot, waiting for an ALDI shopper to discard their shopping cart so they can retrieve the quarter deposit. If my mother picks up one of these stray, unreturned shopping carts in the parking lot for herself (or just to return it to the store), she'll be accosted and yelled at by these people who apparently feel that it's THEIR quarter that she has just "stolen". It's happened about four times in the past year with the latest incident ending in a physical altercation, resulting with my mother being rammed with the shopping cart and having her hip injured. My mother is elderly — 73 years old — and is no match for a homeless (and possibly mentally disturbed) man in his 20's or 30's.The bottom line is that my mother no longer feels safe shopping at the Palm Springs ALDI as she feels her safety and well-being are now in jeopardy walking to or from her vehicle. She has avoided shopping there and now frequents her local Publix and/or Walmart instead. We have gone to the Palm Springs Police Department about this incident and they've advised us to avoid shopping at this particular store and that ultimately it was ALDI's responsibility to provide security for their shoppers since ALDI is providing "bait" (their words) — essentially in the form of free quarters — to these homeless individuals. Although the quarter deposits are a security measure put in place by ALDI to dissuade people from stealing shopping carts (and to keep the parking lot clear of abandoned carts), the PSPD told us that homeless people see that as an enticement, free money. When we asked an ALDI employee if there was any sort of security employed by the store, they replied that there was none although we could get in touch with the main office to inquire about it. When we did, the customer service representative was very polite and professional, but said her only recourse was to send it on to upper management.I know that ALDI probably doesn't have this problem at a whole lot of their stores but, here, in South Florida, the problem is becoming more rampant. Ultimately, it will turn off shoppers from their stores as it has for my mother.ALDI needs to employ security at this particular store. My mother really misses shopping there.

I came to Aldis with my dog. No sign said that pets are not accepted. When I entered, no one scolded me or said that she couldn't be there. Accidentally when greeting a customer because she is very cheerful she peed so I asked for a paper towel to clean it up and they told me that I had to leave the store I told them to let me pay first and they told me you don't have to leave now when I had been 1 hour inside the store and a purchase of many things that I had in the cart I understand that ok they do not accept pets I can understand it although it had been an hour and nobody gave me a gift for that but not letting me pay before leaving seemed super rude to me

Aldi has a very interesting business style in the grocery Industry. You have to like shopping this type of layout. The pricing of products is appealing and good value. The staff is focused on there job assignments and do not always recognize you. That does not make them unfriendly though. The end result is you will save money. They are a very successful company and for good reason.
