I have 2 amazing dogs from here. I belive I have the dog on the websites main page. Samson is one of the coolest dogs in the world hands down. I love both of them and I wish I could have more I would go back in a heartbeat. Every one working there has a passion and it shows. Nothing but love for this place I think it's time to go visit them.

I fostered Charlie during hurricane Milton. He is a gem, but unfortunately I can't provide him his fur ever home. I'm on a mission to find him one. He's almost 9 and has been at the shelter for a year. The biggest obstacle is he CANNOT be around other dogs. Meet Charlie in the video. ♥️

Good luck getting a dog license in this county. I followed the prompts on the website and it took me to a third-party website which said I did not need a license in this county. I called the office at Manatee County and they were no help at all. After several calls, I was told to go to the office and get a dog license in person. After waiting for 30 minutes with no one acknowledging that I was there I gave up. They may do a great job in saving dogs, but their customer service is pretty lacking.

If you have to call animal control, and Officer Darren Daly shows up, you're in good hands. He keeps contact with you, does stake outs, builds a case the proper way. Very caring, attentive and knowledgeable. Thanks for taking care of us and trying to make our neighborhood safe again.

I have 3 rescues from MCAW a no kill shelter and they were amazing fur all three Adoptions. I am now a volunteer and see all the behind the scenes they truly do for these Dogs, just a good place to shoot from. They always have a good selection to choose from s well.

I had the first appointment of the day or so I thought. The website gave me an 11am appointment but I received an email from the shelter saying hours had changed and my appointment had been pushed back to 12pm. Upon arriving I was told there were 5 people in front of me. How is this possible if I had the first available appointment. I was told there were two other 12pm appointments and 2 walk ins. So what was the purpose of having an appointment? Needless to say I missed out on the dog I wanted which would have been fine if the process was fair.

Recently adopted my 2nd dog from MCAW and am so happy. I chose a senior on purpose since they are overlooked. Plus he’s deaf. But he’s just awesome and total heartbalm for my dog that died. The people who work there are wonderful and patient. Am thinking of adding yet another senior.

Such Compassion & Caring. Great welfare check and visit to me & my two beyond spoiled dogs. By all means visit anytime. The dogs in my neighborhood are the best part of the neighborhood.
