5-STARS: Staff, Services, Facilities, Tools, etc.OPINION: The Auto-Shop is the Best MWR Benefit provided to Service members. The Fitness Center is a very close Second.16-months of fighting CV19 affected our Country and Way of Life. NSA PCB FL MWR had to institute major operational changes. Fortunately, changes were/are temporary. With the Support and Guidance of NSA Command PCB FL, MWR is planning, reviewing and acting Pro-Actively to restore and improve the benefits they provide. The NSA PCB FL Auto Shop is opened to Active Duty Service Members. Access by Retired Services Members is being actively pursued. This echos, and I strongly support, Traditional USN Policy: Head of the Line Privileges for Active Duty Personnel.FYI. I'm Retired USN (1991), Fully Retired (2014) and closing in on 70. Jacking up my truck in the driveway, placing jack-stands, crouching, crawling and rolling around on my back are not my preferred methods of DIY Auto Maintenance and Repair. Especially, during the Heat of Summer. Use of he Auto Shop is very valuable to me.During my 46-year Career (Navy and Civilian), I took advantage of USN MWR-Auto Shop Benifits. This started in 1973 at Nuke School, Bainbridge MD. In 1989, I began using the Navy Auto Shop at NSA PCB FL. The Base has had many Title Changes and the shop has changed locations and upgraded. Regardless, Staff, Support Services, Facilities, Equipment, Tools, etc have been consistently Outstanding!

A great place to work on your vehicle. Plenty of tools and equipment. Put your car up on a lift and change the oil, rotate the tires. They have air tools for use as well. Very reasonable cost. They dispose of your used oil even. Friendly staff and a clean shop. Usually able to get a bay without any wait on a Saturday morning if you come in early.
