The new manager is amazing and so kind, all the newer employees are great as well. Someone is always at the register, the store looks much cleaner and organized, the store has shaped up well. She really cares about the place and it shows! The cashier Freddie is also always a pleasure!

Stood infront of the store for until 8.10 waiting for them to open I am supposed to be at work at 8am watched 5 customers come up and leave worst dollor general on the beach

The restroom is BEYOND DISGUSTING!!! Looks like a bomb went off in there with the most awfulness that comes from the body. The sink was so dirty it was gray, and it had clippings of hair in it.

I went in to deposit money and the oldest lady working the front had an attitude with me bc she had to he get a manager. I went in to deposit money in my account and started with idk how much your fee is but this is how much I have she obviously didn’t listen to me bc she had to go get a manager to redo the process bc of the fee and I didn’t have enough when I said idk what your fee was. She told me I should’ve started with the amount I wanted deposited when I told the older lady I didn’t know what the fee was. I work in the food industry and no one should be talked to like that. You should’ve started with that??? That’s rude. She doesn’t need to be upfront with customers if she gets an attitude just bc she has to get a manager. I’m a shift lead never would I ever say that to a customer

Rudest customer service from a lady with red or purple hair couldn’t tell since the colors in her hair were muddy. We were using self checkout and told her a coupon wasn’t taking off for the 5$ off a purchase $25 or more. She was talking to a coworker out loud about how a customer earlier called her a “S word” and went off on her. And I see why. The customer service lacked hospitality and she was very dismissive and condescending.Even walked away while we were talking to her and had food in her mouth and was chewing the whole time. Very disappointed as a loyal dollar general shopper.

Beware! The young man (dark hair) cashier is rude, insulting and borderline verbally abusive! Evidently he is encouraged to continue in this antisocial behavior towards customers. Go to the next closest DG on the corner of Thomas & Front Beach instead

I shop here occasionally for junk food and snacks. The last time I came they were unloading the items into the freezer. I kindly said excuse me I just need to get int that freezer. The lady says what do you want I'll get it for you. I said idk what I want I need to look. She then says can't you just go around. ( meaning go down the isle to walk all the way around to back to the freezer ) I said no... and stepped over a small box. I haven't been back since.

Be prepared to wait. Seems every time I go to this particular Dollar General there is only one person working and she tends to be hiding in the back. Normally requires customers searching throughout the store to get someone to the register. You would think after all of that the one lady working would at least be friendly and apologetic and instead she looks at you with a scowl on her face.
