The “Keep it Salty” t-shirt I bought seemed nice but after wearing it for a couple of months, the letters started peeling off. The quality does not match the price.

Guy Harvey's is not a standout restaurant for Panama City Beach, nor even Pier Park. Guy Harvey's is clearly aimed at tourists who will visit once, lured in by Guy Harvey's (the artist) beautiful aquatic artwork. Any local worth his salt should know there are many, many other restaurants in the area with comparable food at more reasonable prices and of much higher quality. I can't complain about the service at Guy Harvey's Island Grill, but the food is unimpressive and the menu not very exciting at all. I would never dream of ordering seafood from a place like this. The fries are good, but only if you like the strange seasoning blend (which tastes like Lay's BBQ Chips) they apply with reckless abandon. The Philly Cheesesteak they offer is not bad, but it's not particularly good, and when I pay $10-$12 dollars for a sandwich I expect all but the most exotic toppings to be included in that price, but this is sadly not the case at Guy Harvey's. The drinks aren't bad, but they are pricey, and the bottom line is that I can't imagine many locals would want to return given all the awesome choices on Panama City Beach that are cheaper and tastier than Guy Harvey's. I would advise tourists to steer clear as well, and consider searching Yelp for just a few more minutes to find a restaurants far far better than this one.

My guess is that this restaurant is soon to close. Only issue is not early enough. Service is beyond bad and the food is a close second. I can't imagine that Guy Harvey has much to do with this.

Eight in our group went to the Island Grill in Fairview Texas on the night of January 21st 2011 We spent over two hours in the restaurant with no food. The wait staff was totally incompetent, very young and very poorly trained. One in our group asked for a Corona with a lime slice which was delivered without the lime slice. After being informed the waiter returned a few minutes later with a lime slice in his bare hands and handed to the customer. We should have known when we walked in and were seated promptly that something was up. All the surrounding restaurants in this shopping area had 30 minutes to 1 hour wait times. After we left we walked over to Patrizio's Italian restaurant and had wonderful service with a superb meal. Guy Harvey will never see any of us again. This Guy Harvey's has been open since October of 2010 if things do not improve soon it will be closing I'm sure.

Went on New Years eve. Should have known when every other restaurant had a wait but Harvey had empty tables. Waited 10 minutes before we where ask for drinks. Waited 30 minutes for the drinks.Never saw the waitress again. after 45 minutes had the ask another waitress to check our food order. Food came 20 minutes later. nothing special. Ask for more tea and the check. the waitress brought the check and put it under my empty tea glass.
