The Dentist was very informative and friendly. The office visit felt like a quick lube tire change, tho. The X-Rays and assessment happened very quickly. However, you are then placed in a small room after your assessment and left there for consultation for about 45 min. There should be a better system for consultation, that’s my only complaint.

Very pleased with our first visit. We came here because another local dentist we had gone to for an exam 2 days prior failed to give my daughter an antibiotic that she needed badly. Instead the other dentist was too busy to get us in for extraction till June and did nothing for the infection for her mouth day of exam. We Got in to Aspen 2 days later the Dr. prescribed antibiotics same day and we get the extraction that needs to be done ASAP next week. I highly recommend this dentist the Dr is on top of the things that need to get done. Will update after second visit as well!

The good: The technicians and dentist take so much care and go above and beyond for your comfort level. Clean offices. The not so good: Billing errors, scheduling errors and no one to answer the phone to correct it. Expect to spend over 30 minutes waiting to speak to someone (Unless you’re a new patient calling to book they answer instantly.) Have had to drive down and show up in person twice to correct scheduling/billing just to be told the phones/system is down. It’s been over a year with the same issues.

Providers are fine enough. Their office staff are lazy and incompetent. They have one hygienist who is booked so back to back that she doesn’t clean the teeth properly. You’ll go in for x rays and sit an hour back in their waiting room to be helped. The front desk staff turn their phone lines off for hours at a time and give everyone a message that it isn’t business hours. The office manager refuses to return voicemails or respond to issues and will not come out of their office when asked to be spoken with. Billing coordinators are incompetent as well and I don’t trust their ability to bill codes according to insurance contacts. The customer service line for corporate Aspen Dental is a prop. I’ve spoken with the upper management in this area, they did not care and said that because it was actually a private practice that everything that was running improperly at the office was at the desire of the providers. That they were aware and that’s how they choose to run their practice. Health care across the board is not good in Panama City and this is an example.*As a follow up. Before your hygienist gets away with blaming what happened yesterday on my insurance and a time issue. I will remind this office that I had an appointment for June of this year for cleaning and your office staff claimed the system had some sort of “crash” and lost all the appointments. So from there I had to take an appointment in July, thus not leaving a full 6 months until the end of the year. This took away my ability to have insurance cover my full appointment yesterday. My insurance did however cover the cleaning, but your hygienist refused to do the cleaning only and said if I didn’t pay $160 right then and there, she would not see me. As if she owns this practice. What’s worse, they would not give me the time to contact my insurance and discuss what was happening. Insisted I return another day. Which I will never do because inevitably my benefit was taken away do to your “system issues” back in June.

First, let me say that service there in person was excellent. The comprehensive exam was completed and panoramic x-rays. We were then sat down with an appointment representative to schedule our cleaning. That is the moment we were told that cleanings are seven months out for new patients. Of course we complained as this is absurd and it definitely seems like they’re taking New patients and billing for the panoramic. At this point the patient doesn’t have an option but wait for that seven month appointment or longer because most dentist will not take a new patient without completing their own comprehensive exam and x-ray themselves. They’re not even willing to take x-rays that were just completed from Aspen dental. I spoke to the office manager who literally just told me why the appointment so far out, this I already knew. Of course they tell you they call those who have appointments so far out to get them in If there is a cancellation. Let’s keep in mind that there is seven months of people ahead of me on the appointment waitlist. I have put a complaint in with my insurance company because of course they filled them close to $300. This is actually a disgusting business practice that only hurts the patient. The only way to get our cleaning done now is to pay cash for a new set of comprehensive x-rays. I highly encourage you to not fall for their shiny sign Or corporate chain because it is a complete scam if you’re really looking to care for your dental hygiene. Do better Aspen dental.

All my life I’ve only went to Aspen Dentals and the service is always great. Moved to Panama City and just as I expected. The service was great. I was in and out with my cleaning and x rays and exams. I really appreciated my visit today

My spouse went for check up after we PCS’d to the area back in June. She said the receptionist was very rude to her and she does not want to go back because of the bad attitude she had. The Dentist were fine I guess but if the first face you see at your business is not friendly then why would you want to continue going there.
