Called to see about an appointment. Expressed my concern for my dog. They worked her in within hours. Very nice, very caring, and complete explanation on every issue my dog had. Pricing was very reasonable. A lot less than expected. Nice & friendly staff. Ella took to them immediately.Highly recommend Banfield Panama City, FL !!

This location is horrible, take your pet elsewhere please. Twice I have tried to utilize them for pet services and both times I was not told the full truth and they tried to add charges and items I did not request. The second visit I was lied to by the appointment staff. I was sent an email suggesting a vaccination for my pet and I called to see if they have a reasonable appointment time and asked the cost of the visit. I verified the cost of the visit TWICE while on the phone. They were happy to offer pretty much a immediate appointment time, and now I know why. Once I arrived after driving 30 miles they gave me an invoice that was $50.00 higher than the price I had verified twice when making the appointment. When I challenged the price I was basically called a liar by the snooty front desk person. They would rather lose customers than admit their mistakes. Both times I have been here they always try to sell me things I don't want or need. This animal clinic is a joke and I would rather wait two months for a real Veterinary office than go here ever again. Pet owners beware and make sure you verify in writing what this location tells you. Clearly they change frequently.

The techs there need to have more experience. Took them multiple times to get blood from my dog. Couldn't hit the vein and then blew the vein multiple times. They questioned us when we asked for a pressure bandaid for his blown vein, saying it wasn't bleeding. They knew our dog was difficult and they should have been more prepared, like sending in an experienced tech and not an assistant to do the blood draws. I prepared by giving him his appropriate dose of trazadone the days before and morning of appointments. The receptionists needs more training too, to pay attention to detail. Every time we've had an appointment something went wrong, like our appointment wasn't closed out from the last visit, they told us a time and set the appointment for a different time, not setting appointments at all or not calling ahead of time for confirmation of meds or appointments.

NEGATIVE STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Been coming here for years...Took my dog in to get a teeth cleaning recently (they put your animal to sleep to do this) and now he cannot use his hind legs and poops inside. He can barely walk. When I called them they said to bring him in, for what..to magically gain power back in his hind legs? Run tests that will cost $$$ ....BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN TAKING THE VET'S ADVICE-DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. My poor 14 year old dog will now probably have to be put to sleep because he can no longer get up to eat or go potty. Beyond sad and angry.

They are so friendly and helpful, even when you call and just have a question. They will stick with you and research it for you. They take great care of our pups and always check in and follow up with us to make sure they are healing quickly or doing okay. Thanks y’all!

Was quoted at 285 to have both cats de wormed and my spouse ended up paying a $625 bill. The on-site vet called to sell medicine to my spouse as I couldn’t get to the phone and was told that the cats needed a medicine that would cost 139 total. He was charged the 139 twice! Not to mention their intake form asks you plenty of questions to get you to check off extra services that you aren’t there for originally. The nurse quoted me at 285 for both when in actuality it was 285 per cat. Without the up charge of the cat medicine. Will not recommend anyone bring their pets there to be ripped off!

I'm sad I have to write this, but here it goes. After using Banfield for my cats care for the past 7 years, I've finally reached my limit. My cat; who's a Norwegian Forest Cat (Large breed like Maine Coons), went for an annual visit on Tuesday, for his distemper vaccine; all fine and dandy, I'm glad to be able to provide him the yearly care he needs, but they took him back, mind you I had to wait in the store/Lobby, and didn't let me go in the room with him for w/e reason to administer said shot. When they came out the vet was in the prescription food isle (To which I'm familiar I use to work at this Petsmart for 4 years, I'm not stupid when it comes to animal nutrition, I've worked in the animal industry a long time. He eats a top of the line food). Doctor comes over; who is new apparently as I've never seen her before at all, comes over with this bag of Royal C prescription food. I'm looking at her like "Why do you have this?" and she said everything on him looks great, but he's needing to loose some weight. Which to me is not something I'd expected to hear, he's weighted about the same this entire time, he's 7 years old, so maybe weighs a little more since he lays around a lot but not by much. I said "He's not overweight, I am monitoring his weight myself." and she said in a very snarky tone "Oh yes he is! He's obese in fact." That's a tall claim, then says "He's nearing the possibility of developing Diabetes." Which I don't buy, I'm sorry most animals develop it if they're on a lesser quality food that's mostly fillers etc, to which he's not. I get him shaved rather frequently too as being a Nordic breed he's got a THICK coat; he's mostly fur, and yes appears fat due to it, but is definitely not when shaved. His coat is like that of wool you'd find on a sheep, and is very dense. He's not an average long hair. I did let her know that I've worked in the pet industry a long time and he eats a top of the line food, and that I'd recently switched him from Solid Gold, to Wellness a week ago, which is less in protein since he's older. I refused to go with the prescription food, but definitely didn't like her attitude. Normally I can brush this sorta thing off, especially if it's true, but this right here is downright gross. She then goes to tell me "Most cats should be around 10lbs to 12lbs". Yeah that's likely AVERAGE Sized cats ma'am. Not a cat of his breed, if he was that weight at his stature, he'd be underweight and mal-nurished. I know that vets will try to sell Science Diet to you (Which is a horrid food btw) and beyond due to kick back, and I know these tactics. I am sorry but the attitude she brought to the table is what irritated me the absolute most. When my cat gets his shave at the end of the month I'd like to bring him in to show them just how he looks underneath that Inch thick of hair. Don't treat me like I'm dumb. To say that I'm pissed is an understatement at best, and it's pissed me off to the point where I'm planning to grab his files and go to the vet that I'd brought him too originally closer to my house. All in all they use to be great, but not anymore, just a cash grab, there's much better vets out there I promise. I've attached the most recent photos of him. One being when he was shaved last, it's a few months old but you get the point. And some where he's got all his hair fully grown back. This cat is not fat, no where near it, he's the average weight for a Male of his breed. All these photos are recent. With this being said, done with Banfield, none of the previous doctors/vets had an issue with his weight, and there's been little change with it since his last visit. I'm done.
