I really like this SA. They have a nice variety of furniture at decent prices. They have clothing, books, glassware, knickknacks etc. I like that it is well kept and clean. The staff is helpful and friendly.

We wanted to drop off donations today. Got waved off by a man that was cutting up cardboard boxes. Apparently the Salvation Army does not need donations. But please, put a sign up or something but not a rude man that just waves us away. No more donations to the Salvation Army. I have donated., bought, and volunteered, but this has soured me immensely.

I was shocked by the prices. Our store in Tallahassee is so reasonable. This store thinks they are selling gold. For example a clear glass punch bowl ( they are everywhere) is 120.00. That's just a sample. Clothes are ok but everything else is absurdly expensive.

This is the 3rd and last time I will drop off any item at this location. The guy in the back obviously HATES his job. (Beard and sunglasses) I dropped off some stuff, (1 box) he was no where in site, about the time I was backing up, he came out, he looked very angry and agitated, that I had left the stuff. He came out staring me down as I was backing out, I got scared and was intimidated by him, my heart started racing, I almost got in a accident. he looked like he wanted to harm me....this is the 3rd time I have dropped items off and to have your employee do that over and over is not acceptable to me....I will throw my stuff in the trash rather than drop it off at that location. Imagine all the other people he has done that too.

I have always loved the work that salvation army does. I've been purchasing items from the thrift store for years and donating for even longer. That is until today. I will never purchase anything or donate to the 15th st salvation army.I took a truck and vehicle load of very nice items to donate. The items included a large number of high quality wall frames and a leather bench that other than needing to be recovered is in great shape. I know that some thrift stores won't take certain items. Normally they will say they don't take it and I'll take somewhere else. Well, today a man I learned who's name is James decided to be a j**** He proceeded to just throw the items he wasn't interested in to the concrete where the items broke. I immediately grabbed the items that were still saveable and took to my vehicle which hadn't been unloaded yet. That load of items and any donations in the future will go anywhere else but there. When I called and spoke to management I was informed the guy is deaf as if that's an excuse for his behavior.

Great shop for trinkets and old cute homey artwork and dishes. Some large pieces if furniture surprisingly in great shape, beds and dressers. Beautiful wooden rocking chair. Great place to buy some used kids items like bikes to learn on. Lovely, generous workers, one of whom blessed a woman who cried at her generosity and kindness. I'll be back. Although I'm stable financially, i love thriftv places, but Especially those that bless a community in need.

Of course it's difficult getting anything for men. Because men don't matter anymore. If the fall below the poverty line their wives are no longer loyal to them. There are 1000's and 1000's more men in the streets than there are women. And most of the women are there because they're mentally unstable. Many of the men get monthly checks or are there because they did it to themselves. The rare few like me who are out here because nobody wants them, everyone abandoned them. We can't catch a break no matter what we do. So these places want you t be motivated. Well being motivated is how I ended up like this and it only makes things worse. Most men's shelters are filthy and they're treated like dirt. Where most women's shelters are practically 5 star hotels by comparison... A lot of men are also victims of women's lies ...

What a disappointment. We came here looking for men's jeans after going to another well known 2nd hand store that had not one pair only to find that this store didn't have any either. Like none. Are people hoarding men's jeans in this area? There are a lot of women's jeans if you need those. No women's shorts though. This store just doesn't have a lot of selection of anything except furniture and kitchen items. Really old, vintage ones though. So if you're looking to decorate with things from the 80s you're in luck! Or if you're needing George Foreman grills. They had like 6 of them.

Always love it here...just some facts when you are donating. Salvation Army CEO William A. Roberts’ last reported total annual compensation was $126,920.The current President and CEO of Goodwill is Jim Gibbons, who in 2015 received a total reported compensation of $712,202HUGE DIFFERENCE! Definitely donate to salvation army!
