I had their blackened blue tuna special and it was one of the best cooked tuna steaks I’ve ever had. The baked oysters were delicious. Service was excellent and quick even with as busy as they

Amazing attention to allergies. They made sure to separately serve gluten-free with fresh gloves!

The crab claws and grouper were very good. I also had the scallops, and I must say they were some of the best scallops I ever had. It's definitely a place we will be returning to.

Ahrrr-guably the best restaurant on Pensacola Beach. This casual, beach-view eatery and bar near Fort Pickens is the perfect spot to re-energize with fresh seafood, steaks, burgers, and drinks after a day in the sun and sand. The kids playground and dockside fish feeding make it fun for children. The live music that's not too loud and multiple bars give adults a place to unwind. There's not much to dislike about Peg Leg Petes. The prices are excellent, the food is exceptional, the atmosphere is kitschy in the charming way that one would expect from a pirate-themed coastal restaurant with nautical nick nacks hanging on the walls. The only improvement would be an increase in the amount and an improvement on the comfort of the available seating in the waiting area. Reservations online are recommended. The wait on warm days throughout the year can be hours. Get the grilled grouper, sauteed crab claws, gumbo, or the grouper sandwich with a side of red beans and rice and you'll be singing the praises of Peg Leg Pete's like a pirate that has just returned home from an adventure on the high seas. Add a few "shipwreck" cocktails to your dinner and you might be slurring your words while singing sea shanties as you walk back to your condo on beautiful Pensacola Beach.

Very kid friendly. Lots of interesting things to look at while you dine. I don't eat seafood, but the burger I had was good. My wife and daughter split a mixed grilled seafood platter and loved it.

We asked to sit outside and was told that wasn't a problem. Then, we were seated inside and told the host that, she just shrugged and walked off. She sat us next to extremely dirty windows. And the tin man hanging from the ceiling was surrounded by dirty, nasty, sagging ceiling tiles. Too bad the filth detracted so much from the eclectic decor.I am not some tourist. I grew up on the Gulf. The gumbo was an insult to Cajun food. The grouper nuggets were overcooked and my grouper extreme (or something like that) was undercooked and chewy. We did have a friend from Minnesota dining with us. I was just happy we had already shown her our favorite local non-tourist trap seafood restaurant. The only saving grace was the oysters. But it's hard to mess up raw oysters.Oh, and my son enjoyed his turkey hoagie - but it's pre-sliced lunch meat. They can't really take any credit for that. Our server was pretty good and navigated a warm hand-off during a shift change pretty well, but I removed a star from service due to the host's palpable indifference during seating.Gordon Ramsay would have his hands full with this place.Vegetarian options: As far as I could tell, there were no vegetarian options. I'm a pescatarian so I usually look for vegetarian options.

We are a family with young kids so we didn't go down to the bar area. That's just not our scene but the upstairs dining area was good and the oysters were fantastic.

We went here on vacation because it had been recommended to my husband. He loves seafood. I’m allergic to shellfish. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I was safe from any cross contamination. The manager even came by to confirm my order and make sure it would be safe. Awesome service!
